Works
I lifted weights for years and then tore my rotator cuff and took a year off. Once I started back and bought some new equipment, I heard about BFR. I started with some basic straps but didn't really notice any benefit. A Youtuber I follow recommended the B Strong bands so I ordered a pair of the arm bands. After a month I would definitely recommend them. I have never had muscle growth this fast before. You really get a great pump with them on and it makes me wonder if action stars in movies use these while filming to buff out their arms. They are comfortable and so far I haven't noticed any leaking. At this point I think the basic straps you can buy for $20 or so, are pretty useless. The B Strong BFR Bands are a bit expensive, but from my results so far, they are definitely worth what I spent.

Don't follow the science behind BFR
These cuffs always allow for bloodflow, which goes against the science behind BFR. My PT explained to me briefly how these cuffs don't provide enough stimulus or occlusion to be effective. He said they are junk. Recommended a wider cuff option using a doppler for my rehabilitation.

Perfect For Injury Recovery
I recently tore my pec and needed a training tool that would allow me maintain some size and strength as I am a competitive powerlifter. The BStrong BFR cuffs allowed me to use light weight with high reps and still work my fast twitch muscle fibers. I expected to lose a lot more size and strength than I actually did thanks to BFR training. I’m a huge fan!

As seen in good professional Physical Therapy Clinics
I was introduced to B-Strong BFR bands while doing Physical Therapy for knee pain (not joint but soft tissue/muscle). B-Strong type allows you to control the amount of constriction (similar to a BP cuff.) The cheap elastic band or web strap type do not (I know I own them too.) NOTE: BFR bands are not meant to cut off blood flow totally ~ that's called a tourniquet & could cause irreversible damage! BFR bands should only partially restrict venous blood (oxygen deficient blood flowing from the limbs back to the heart). BFR bands make muscles work harder to pump the blood back to the heart & allow the muscle gains of lifting heavier weights without risking joint damage. I bought my size B-Strong for arms/legs to continue using at home after using them for PT. No they're not cheap, but I absolutely love them. These are 4 yrs old working great.
