Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes

My grandson asks for this book by name. He lives Pete and all the crazy shenanigans he gets into. He’s also learned to count by counting missing cupcakes. A win-win.

This was a book I bought for my grandsons . Pete was recommended to me and the boys live Pete especially cause he is a cat

The book came in great shape. It is hard cover , a nice surprise. I will buy more!

My class (Kindergarten) loved reading this and following along with the subtraction. They enjoyed drawing their own cupcake stories after modeling their designs after the playful illustrations in this book.

Our 5 year old just loves Pete the Cat. We got this for her birthday with a t-shirt to match the book theme. She loved them!

I bought this book to donate to the Literacy group I volunteer for. When a child likes Pete the Cat they REALLY like him. The books all rhyme which makes them easier to read. I use poetry a lot so kids can experience the cadence of reading aloud. It helps kids who read in monotone or try to read as fast as they can. The advantage of a rhyming story is that the young reader can guess what a word is when I model the rhythm and look at them to guess or read the rhyming word. Kids who know the words to jingles, or hit songs always like poetry. The big Pete the Cat fans really like to read a title that's new to them.

As a former Elementary School Teacher and Librarian, this book not only is about friendship, but also, teaches math skills. I bought this so I could use it with my grandsons and make cupcakes, read, and do math without them even knowing it😊

The media could not be loaded.  This is a fabulous book! It is awesome for learning counting and subtraction. Both my one and three year old daughters love it! Pete the cat is always a hit in our house. Would highly recommend!

The rhyming was cute but the illustrations weren't eye-catching and the book was very small as an ebook - I found the writing very hard to read because it was so small.
