BrentwoodKT-1900W 1.7L Cordless Glass Electric Kettle, White

I have held off for a while on purchasing an electric kettle, but my last stovetop kettle, the lovely one I thought would last a lifetime, with a solid, seamless bottom, mysteriously began leaking at the bottom. (!) It was also quite slow on my smoothtop range. This is a huge improvement, and it cost about the same as the stovetop kettle. Because the heating element is in direct contact with the water, it begins to bubble almost immediately when you switch it on. At "full" line, it comes to a complete rolling boil and shuts off in 10 - 11 minutes. I often pour it over my tea well before that time, as it is quite hot enough. The blue LED is cute, and it is very easy to tell whether it is on or off. I'm usually not a fan of a modernistic look, but I find the shape and appearance quite appealing.I've had it a couple weeks and the stainless heating element is starting to show little spots of white discoloration. I tried a vinegar soak but didn't notice a difference. But it's only cosmetic. If it really bothered me I'd research how to polish it up. All in all, this is a nice, useful appliance and a very good value. Oh, and mine is very quiet. The boiling water makes a little sound, and there is a light click when it shuts off. That's it.

I have had this kettle for almost three months and it still works great. I love that its cool touch under the bottom, so my son can hold it under the bottom to hold it steady as he pours, and the base that it sits on it cool as well. The automatic shut off still works; it doesn't shut as soon as it comes to a rolling boil but about 2 maybe 3minutes later. Both my son and husband think the blue lights are cool. I love I don't have to take up space on the stove and have a hot burner after the fact (glass top stove). Every once in a while depending on how often you use it and the type of water you have you will need to wash it and probably scrub the bottom (might be hard water build up), unless of course you clean it after every time (I just put more water in). I can't say it heats up faster than a regular s/s stove to kettle, I'de say its about the same. I just like having it at my coffee/tea station. I have water for tea, hubby has water to make coffee with his french press, everyone is happy.

I bought this Brentwood teapot December 2015 (towards the end of the year) and was actually very excited to get it as it looks versatille and I like the LED light when it's boiling. I received it, inspected it and ran my hands inside the pot as the metal piece inside the pot will directly touch the water. It feels rough and based from the other reviews I read before purchasing - it does rust inside after few months. Did I take their advise on not purchasing it? NO. Big mistake! I should have. The side metal piece started to get rusty and it seems like it's flaking too. Not really sure what it was when I started to see brown particles in the water just when it's heating so I used a gentle bottle cleaner and washed the pot thinking it was just dirt. Uh Uh... It wasn't. Look at the picture I have attached on this review. Definitely the metal piece inside is deteriorating. It is a waste of money just after 5 months of it barely being used. I'm going to contact Amazon to see what they can and will do.

I read a couple of reviews that weren’t too good and hesitated for a bit but I’m very happy I bought it. It looks very nice with it’s blue light and white color. It heats really fast and I can’t believe how much I paid for it. Even if it broke it wouldn’t matter too much because I paid so little. I mean don’t get me wrong I want it to last me ten years. Anyway I would recommend this one.

One of the best thing’s about the Brentwood KT-1900W1.7L Cordless Glass Electric Kettle, in White and or In other colors I enjoy that it’ fits almost anywhere in your kitchen and it works perfectly heating up the water to make a hot cup of tea or utilizing it for a hot bowl of cereal to add the water too or whatever warm beverage that you wish to make with it and it’s so efficient it shuts itself off too! 💯Thank you again.
