Figures and Game Both AMAZING
GAME:This is a remake of the first game, top to bottom. I believe this release specifically has added chapters and dead ends that were not originally included, and these ones do not have voiceovers (although they still have background music). They definitely help add to the original story, and show things that might have left you questioning before. The art screens are beautiful, the sprites look great, and the gameplay is actually really nice. Compared to Blood Drive, there are a lot less rooms in this school building, so you don't get lost too easily, and it's easier to figure out what you need to do to get through the chapter (especially at times where you will need to go back and forth to collect or see things in a certain order).Out of all the Wrong Ends, I only needed to look up two of them, although it took some time to find the rest on my own. So, you'll probably need help here or there, but it really isn't too bad. I just wish I had a 3DS XL to give me the full experience while playing! The original 3DS just doesn't do this game justice. This set is the only option out there for a hard copy, and it includes Naomi and Seiko figures, as well as a CD with tracks from the game.FIGURES:I was worried with what people said about the figures, but I have not had issues since getting them standing. I did what another reviewer suggested and put their toes in first, then snapped the rest of it in place. They don't fall over, and even when I went around and dusted them off with a rag, their stands didn't fall off. Yes, they could have been made better, but unless you live next to a railroad track, I don't see how the stands could cause much problem. The paint is spectacular for how small these two are. Seriously, I don't know how they managed to make them look so good. Their faces have so much beautiful detail, as well as the colorful highlighting in their hair. I swapped out Seiko's face, and in the process, her stand still didn't fall off (although I was worried her breaking during the swap, she held strong). I love that I can change them a little should I so desire. I wish there were more Corpse Party figures up for sale (specifically Ayumi and Yoshiki). My love for Corpse Party alone has made these some of my favorite figures in my collection.I've provided pictures to show the stunning detail on them (sorry you can see a little dust on them).

Gotten to the game, but still a tad bummed.
Edit:With some play time into the game now, the graphics style remains true to the original, but have been sharpened. The images are clearer, there's no major areas of pixelation. So far it has stuck to the original storyline the old one did. The voice acting is nice, it is all in Japanese, no option for English but an option to turn VA off. During the gameplay, you can press 'Y' to turn off the dialogue box if you can understand the VA enough without it.Edit 2 (Sound):The music seems to have been done up/ retouched from the vita version. At least to the best of my knowledge it sounds different. To get the best out of it, I highly recommend using headphones as there are a lot of little sound details in the ambiance and music that the speakers of the 3DS won't give to you.The same thing with the CD. Some of the tracks are a little short too. Though with game albums that's pretty common.I just got the box today and have spent the past thirty some odd minutes fiddling around the figures, trying to figure (haha) them out. And I can already say, I'm a little bummed out on a few things.First of all, the very art on the box itself is misleading. Each figure has 2 faces and 2 sets of arms only and they CANNOT be switched out between the figures and the slots and pegs are cut out in a specific way. Meaning, the arm on the chest on the box that Naomi has is off the bat a false image.Secondly, the stands I received don't even fit that well for them. Only one of them fits, and it's the one that was supposed to be for Seiko but works for Naomi, but by barely as any little nudge knocks her out of it. Seiko doesn't get a stand at all.If you look over those grievances, maybe I got janky stands, the figures are nicely done in what seems to be a PVC like material. Painted well. The heads can articulate. It's easy to swap pieces. And yes, they do have panties, I noticed that as I was trying to get the stands to work.

Review from a first time player
As others have mentioned, I had problems with the figure's bases. But let's not talk figures, let's talk game! I hadn't played Corpse Party before, so I didn't know what to expect. From comments I'd read elsewhere, I was expecting maybe gore, maybe action, or maybe a visual novel. I feel like visual novel is a huge misnomer because you're not just in a "choose A, choose B" scenario time after time. You can pick up items and use them, and there's parts where you have to evade pursuers (only one of which was particularly frustrating). So there's definite gameplay elements in there, even if they're used lightly and somewhat simply. The graphics are very simple (think sprite based, no 3D option) with anime cutscenes. I feel like this really works well for the type of horror they're working with because a lot gets left up to your imagination. There's gore, but that's not the main mechanic. I feel like it's more of a creeping horror that leaves you feeling unsettled more than cheap jump scares. As others have pointed out, the audio is really fantastic. Play with some good headphones because there's some wonderful atmospheric noise and a good soundtrack (which is included in this package). The voice acting is great. I think the only thing I really questioned were some of the subtitle choices, which I think is a localization issue...but it's definitely not something that'll take you out of the moment.Overall, I was very impressed with this game as a newbie to Corpse Party. It's one of the first games that I've played in a very long time that I haven't wanted to put down because I had to find out what happened next. I got invested in the characters, which was a comparably good idea to getting attached to characters in Game of Thrones....alas. I really wish it could've gone on longer, but I understand there's sequels which I hope make it to the 3DS some day. For now it looks like I have lots of extra content to go back and find.

Came in good condition and shipped quickly
Came in good condition and shipped quickly! Game itself is pretty fun and comes with a lot of bonus content with 3DS version that the PSP version didn't have. Sprites and character models have been revamped and look a lot better compared to the original. Voice acting is top notch, but I personally found it got really annoying since majority of the girls just cried and screamed all the time. Got annoying and tiring really quickly, but luckily you can mute the voices which I had to do since I couldn't stand majority of the characters' voices. It's nice to see a game have the option to change certain audio aspects. You can do the same for the background music and background ambiance, so you can really immerse yourself in the creepy atmosphere and adjust it however you like. The bonus chapters are also a plus, making this even more of a good buy since it isn't just a port over of a game, but also brings new content to both new players as well old players revisiting the game.

It's A Corpse Party! Woohoo!
Bought it for my daughter for her birthday. First of all, I didn't even realize everything that came with it... what a pleasant surprise! And my girl was very pleased and impressed...and, of course, she knows all the music on the CD. ;) Oh, and, as usual, super fast delivery! Thanks, Amazon!
