My grandpa recently had surgery and is struggling with mobility, so I thought this would help him get some of his independence back. So far, it’s working really well. It is fairly stable, easy to use, and doesn’t take up too much room. The only thing is I didn’t pay enough attention to what type of toilet it is made for, so it sits a bit funny on mine. I’d suggest this is best for those toilets with pointy fronts :) Otherwise, my grandpa gets to use the bathroom by himself and my grandma can be a little less worried.

This has worked much better than others we have purchased in the past. It is sturdy and feels secure, which reduces anxiety for the person using it. It has made his transition to a new home much easier.

The side toilet-gripping cups could not be used because of where the threaded nut is preinstalled on the frame. It is too far back for our toilet to use, and likely for many standard toilet models. Would be better if they preinstalled 3 threaded nuts on each side frame...one far back as it is currently, one in the middle and one forward of middle, allowing the use of this feature for more people. I was going to return the unit but decided to reevaluate how stable it was without using that feature. It passed the test easily (opinions of myself and my disabled wife). We are pleased with the unit. I gave it 4 stars because of this oversight in design, but please don't be afraid to try it even without the side cups. I like its sturdiness and having the crossbar stabilizer in front of the bowl instead of behind the seat lid. My wife wears a CROW boot (definition online), and she has difficulty with some chairs, etc. interfering with her boot. This was not the case with this unit. It replaced a bedside commode (with bucket removed) so that anyone can use the toilet without needing to move the unit out of the way and sit on a more normal seat. We've ordered a very stable type of elevated seat and lid assembly to accompany this to add a little height to the regular toilet seat (neither are part of this unit). That elevated seat optionally comes with side security handrails; however, we decided to order it without siderails and use this unit instead because it places weight distributions on the floor, not unevenly on the toilet as the other rails would have done. Good product.

This toilet frame was really straightforward to install. The suction cups secured the frame to the toilet and ground really well. It’s very sturdy and supports your weight well. I bought this for my 80 year old dad and he hasn’t has any complaints. He now has a much easier getting up from the toilet.

Overall the product is okay however the two offsetting side screws/suction cups would not come together close enough to grip against the toilet. I had to go to hardware store, purchase similar threaded pieces ( millimeter not SAE ) add 2 nuts per side to ensure that they locked, and substitute that arrangement rather than use the extended screws with the black knobs. If the manufacturer would provide a second point of engagement on the frame for the side pressure screw system that would help to address the problem. Other than that, the assembly is simple, the product pretty sturdy and the floor gripping suction cups provide excellent stability with no slippage.

This support was among several I was considering. Chose this one because of it's sound materials and manner in which it fit around the toilet. My wife of near 300lbs and dementia needed something strong and secure without falling. This is an excellent product and worth the price.

It’s a necessary essential product for elderly parent. Had to double secure item with bungi cords to stabilize from suction braces slipping on toilet base.

Side suction cups do not adjust to two different toilets/most not made square. Sturdy but even with professional installation, not totally stable. Good adjustable handles either side.
