Fantastic unit! Nice, clean amps, tons of features.
I had an older BT unit that I liked, but its Bluetooth connectivity was limited (no hands free calling, phone wouldn't stream audio, etc. and there are new laws necessitating being hands free). I replace it with a cheap $35 unit that seemed too good to be true. It was terrible - every other time I started my truck it would forget all presets. The amps must've been rated on peak power and not RMS as they distorted at what I consider too low of a volume, and colored the sound - extreme highs and lows weren't present, so it was "boxy" sounding for lack of a better description.Got this Kenwood for Christmas and couldn't be happier. The amps are clean and sound good, which is important to a musician such as myself. Tons of EQ options, lighting options. That's important, because that junk unit I had was like a blue spotlight on my dash and was distracting at night. Bluetooth works great, hands free calling is great, the external mic is superb based on the opinions of people I've called or who have called me while I'm driving. Easy to install if you have the right vehicle adapter. So glad the color-coding for wiring is standardized. Match the wire colors and you're good to go. I didn't even need the manual for installation! Well, I have done it a few times, so there's that.Kenwood has a hit on their hands here. The price is great for the features you get. Love it.

Excellent radio.
I needed an upgrade so I could use my phones music programs and this is definitely a great stereo. First off the tuner is excellent. On many after market radios, the tuners are garbage. They only pull in the strongest stations and have lots of interference in metro areas. The tuner pulls my favorite out of town station in better than my factory radio did. The CD player works and sounds great as does the aux input. I've had issues using the USB playback with my phone. Sometimes it works well and sometimes it goes into "hand mode" which appears to mean it works like an aux input. It's not something I use anyway and it could be my old cable acting up. The bluetooth sounds good and works well, only cutting in and out occasionally, but nothing really annoying. Phone call quality is very good. You would be hard pressed to find a radio this good for less than one hundred dollars.

Constant Issues Flash Drives
Tuner works fine, but am experiencing constant issues playing songs from flash drives. The unit will play songs through two or three passes through the playlist, and then start reporting that it can't read the file. Sometimes, it forces the radio to reboot. This has happened with several flash drives from different manufacturers, and those drives work fine in our other vehicles with other brands of tuners. I don't recommend it.

Good receiver overall at a modest price.
I just finished the installation and tested it out. It seems to be working pretty well for the most part. I wasn't able to connect the antenna to it as it doesn't fit properly, but doesn't really matter since I bought this because there aren't any good radio stations left where I'm at anyways. The microphone seems to work pretty well too so no problems there. My only real complaint so far is that navigating through the equalizer could be a bit more intuitive. Overall, pretty good receiver for the money and it helps modernize my older car a bit.

It's got just about everything anyone could want
So far, and I've only owned this unit for a couple of days, this is the best car stereo I've ever bought. As far as traditional, single din stereos go, It's got just about everything anyone could want: CD, USB, Bluetooth, Aux, Iphone and Android compatibility and fantastic FM radio reception. I also like that it has a lot of customization options, for both sound and display colors. My only complaint so far is that it beeps every time I change the source and I can't figure out how to turn the annoying beep off. If anyone knows how, please respond to this review.Update: I figured out how to turn the beeping off. The SRC has to be "Standby" mode for some reason. From there you can change the "key beep" settings. Still loving this stereo!

Bluetooth sucks.
I drive a semi and listen to this daily if not 15 hrs a day. This unit has a decent sound and easy to adjust controls. But the bluetooth feature is a major fail in my opinion. It connects with ease and does what you ask, but an HF error occurs and disconnects at least once a day if not three times. The only cure is to remove the face plate and hit the reset. Pooooof all back to factory settings. All the size/shape of speaker, EQ, positioning, all the BS you worked so har to set is gone. If the Bluetooth had its own reset would solve this as the unit performs well once you set it.

Worked well...when it worked
I bought this stereo for my 2002 Beetle in November of 2017. I installed it in December and it worked pretty well. The biggest problem I had with it is the Bluetooth connection. EVERY single time I turned off my car or left it with my phone I would have to re-pair it to the blue tooth. If one of my kids came into the car it would boot mine off and pair with theirs? So dumb. Even after I got a new phone it would do it. Major design flaw. And then there was yesterday....well yesterday it decided to freeze and stop working all together. I can turn it off and on, but it continues to display "check device", even when there is no device in range. Huge bummer......I live on having music and sermons on my commute to work. I should have gotten more than 9 months out of this stinking stereo.

Get the stereo and the Kenwood 6x9's You won't need an amp at 53 yrs old! These kids will all need hearing aids by my age.
Bad azz radio! Really rocks! You don't even need an amp to hear crystal clear music and base! The ole guy that put the 6x9s in, told me not to blast it or I'd shatter my back window! I still have not turned it up all the way and my friends say they hear my stereo before I knock. Some songs you really like you want the clear tune and want to crank it a little. I still haven't turned it up all the way. Got Kenwoods in back and 93 grand am speaker that still sound good, but have to fade them. People hate the back seat cause they can't hear anything when it's on low. I hate people in my back seat anyway--lol
