Perfect Replacement For My Travel Trailer Regulator
This is the second time I had to replace the regulator on my 2017 travel trailer. The first time was because of the mass recall. I had to figure out the regulator I needed based on total BTUs, figure out the length of pigtails and ensure the handles were the color I needed (dark green for most trailers), find / buy a bracket to mount the regulator to so it would stay on the holder, figure out the right self-tapping screws to get to mount the regulator to the bracket, and then get Teflon tape rated for propane. After all that work, and spending a lot more money than I did on this one, that regulator didn't last. So I found this one. Affordable. 12" pigtails with dark green handles. Bracket included. Auto-switching. Empty tank indicator. Enough BTU throughput to handle my trailer twice over. I changed the regulator out in less than 5 minutes and then tested it. The step that took the longest was cleaning the old Teflon tape off the threads. Easy. This regulator works like a champ. Thanks.

Left side leaked
First one had a leak, it was past warranty date, I explained to seller that I used right side first, then left side approximately 40 days later and it leaked, seller sent me another one and it works great. Thank you Seller

Tank switch colors sometimes difficult to interpret
I now have installed the second one of these, as the first arrived malfunctioning and with one valve cracked. The second one works. It was easy to install. The tank changeover indicator is supposed to be clear when there is propane in both tanks, and then switch to red when the first tank has emptied. While the red of empty seems pretty obvious now, the clear color never was really clear. It was clear with red streaks, or with partial red even with full tanks. So, until I had played with it a while, I wasn't clear what that meant. Ultimately, if the indicator is fully red, the first tank is empty. I'm convinced that anything else means you still have gas in the indicated tank, and that you can't use "a little red" to suggest that your tank is running lower pressures. The other thing to know is that you must open the valves on the tanks slowly. Otherwise, the regulator will also show red from too much pressure. I don't know if it actually turns off that tank, but your indicator won't show you the true status of the tank. In summary, this works pretty well, but is definitely more nuanced than the one that it replaces. I suspect I'll adjust to it fine, but it took a while to figure out the interpretation of the indicator.

Be aware. They use really poor quality quick connects. Broke right away.
I installed this Flame King propane regulator due to my previous one of 8 years beginning to leak. Everything seemed fine ay first with no leaks. The next day, I had no propane (weird because I filled the bottles when I replaced the regulator) so I went to check the regulator and found that the quick connect coupling to the bottle on the left had broke. Almost as if it had been overtightened. But I have been around campers for many many years and know not to do that. I always simply hand tight to positive stop. Anyways, I was needing a quick fix so I ordered a single replacement hose next day. Got it, went to replace it and discovered the right side quick connect had broken exactly the same way overnight. Attempted to return to Amazon but it’s “Not eligible for return”. So I went to Walmart and bought a quality one. All is well now.

Cheap easy fix!
This fixed my issue and it was under $40. I had to take the new bracket off and put on my old one due to the way it sits on the post but that was no big deal at all. After making sure there were not any leaks (smell test, soapy water), I fired up the stove and furnace. The gas was flowing again and I'm a happy camper.

Dangerous, should not be sold. Less than a week old, came outside to this and luckily propane bottle auto shut off engaged.

Great product that worked as shown. Product fit no problem but I did have to replace the mounting bracket with my old one which was easy to do. The old one had the L bend on both ends with holes so it secured the top and bottom of the regulator to the threaded rod that holds the tanks. This one came only one L bend so it would have moved around if I didn’t use the old one. Other than that it was a good purchase.
