Enjoyed this book, loved the series. Anna is a brilliant writer, have more to read of hers, just can’t get enough.

Excellent, as always with Anna Jacobs! Throughly absorbing stories- a real escape! Makes you appreciate being a woman in the 21st century!

The three books in this series were the first I have read by Anna Jacobs. I started reading Cherry Tree Lane out of curiosity and found it difficult to wait for the next two books to come out. While all of the books could stand alone I think they are best read together and in order. While reading Nell's story I had a feeling that Renie's story would be the best of them all and I was right. Just the right amount of suspense, tragedy and of course romance thrown in. In Renie's story we see a bit more of the women's movement, and how life was like for a working woman and the sorts of things they all had to put up with. On the other side of the spectrum is Gil who comes from wealth and privilege and never worked a day in his life. At times I wondered how or when the two of them would actually meet and while the romance was a bit hurried compared to the other stories, it was still a touching love story and didn't disappoint. I'm only sorry that this is the end of the story as I enjoyed reading about these three women and their lives and what they managed to make of themselves. I guess I'll have to pass the books onto my anxiously waiting aunt and relive them through her.

Again Anna Jacobs produced a brilliant trilogy, full of romance,hardship violence and finally a happy ending joining both the working and upper class together, this is the second time of reading these books as I am now going through Anna's books in date order, they are so entertaining, but I must state they are causing my husband to be angry as I am forever disappearing to carry on reading.

As always any book by Anna Jacobs is a winner. I love her sagas, one I have read onecan’t wait to read next one.
