Good book for getting your brew garden starrted
This was a very informative book related to getting your brew garden started. It lists out materials and designs that are helpful for DYI projects from start to finish. It doesn't have any pictures so if you're a visual learner this is not the book for you. I enjoyed it and learned a decent amount. Was a good reference for beginners.

This book has super huge font for the blind as a bat reader. It is very informative but in some ways remedial. If you're an advanced brewer you'll find yourself skimming over a lot of elementary information. For the novice home brewer and home brew gardener it's a great 0-60mph book. For the "been doing it a while but want to expand" reading the whole thing cover to cover is tedious and numbing with intermittent A-HA moments. Seriously. One page you'll be reading what an Alpha acid is, which for home brewers should be elementary, and on the next you'll be breaking down soil chemistry complete with pH guides and the whole bit. SO, great, perfect, excellent for a beginner, good for an intermediate, helpful for an advanced brewer who wants to get into the hops growing side. Just be forewarned your getting a lot you already know in addition.

Lots of info
Some very cool info and photos on raising hops. I’ve been growing them for years for fun but this made me aspire to a better crop!

Brewing is no longer complicated.
What makes this book so great is that it easily explains everything you need to know on brewing beer and growing ingredients to make beer. I have been brewing for 2 years, and found through reading this book there are easier and less expensive techniques; they aren't going to tell you about them at the home-brew store. If you are thinking of brewing or growing for brew, start here. You will end up saving a lot of money in the long run; this makes me very happy.Amateurs: he will explain everything you need to know in the simplest way possible, this will give you a greater understand of why and what is happening with out feeling like you are in a Microbiology class.

Great reference material
Not enjoyable reading material but a very thorough book. I used it to learn how to malt grains. This is must book for Gluten Free brewing because it provides the best instructions for malting grains.

drop out tune in turn on, the adult version
So, I bought this for a friend of mine who is considering moving to the country and raising hops and barley. It's a nice introduction and made him happy. I, personally, was a little disappointed in the herbs section, it is just a listing, not a description of how different herbs combine with other brewing ingredients, but he was happy....

Kindle Edition: Some good info, buried in fluff
Maybe it's the Kindle edition formatting but this is a pretty tough read. The introduction is excessively long and wandering with constant referrals to where else you can find information. There is good information in here but use it as a companion to Homebrewer's Garden by Fisher.

Good book
My husband is a home brewer, so anything about beer and growing hops he loves, this was a winner as well.

A welcome present for a good fan!

Misleading title
The title is extremely misleading. Out over two hundred pages only about twenty or so are given over to hop growing. The rest is on home brew, which is interesting but nothing new. I was expecting a much more detailed study on growing hops, very disappointed.

Present for keen brewer
Bought this for my brother who has started brewing craft beer and growing his own hops. He said it was a great book and had a lot of useful and interesting info.

Typos and little info on hop growing
I was expecting this book to give a guide to growing hops, but the hip section was only 20-30 pages of the whole book. It didn’t tell me anything I didn’t already know, and was written to a very low reading level. It also had multiple typos in the 20-30 pages I did read. Very disappointing
