It is very rare that get excited over something as simple as a travel bag, but this leather travel bag from Berliner is an exceptional product. Let me begin by saying it is not the least expensive bag, but if you are looking for a real high quality leather bag (not faux leather or thin cheap leather), then this is the bag for you.Below is a list of everything I like about this bag.1. It is an attractive light color tan bag. It is not a dark brown.2. It is made with thick heavy duty leather.3. The zippers are very sturdy metal zippers that will not break. No plastic or nylon zippers here.4. The handles are made of leather and are incredible sturdy.5. The inside of the bag is well made as well.6. The bottom of the bag has six metal feet, so when you put the bag down on the floor it does not rest on the leather.7. I have taken this on business travel as a carry-on and it fits in the overhead compartment of the plane.8. I have also taken this bag on overnight business trips by car and it can easily fit all my clothes, toiletry bag, a pair of dress shoes, etc. There is plenty of space in the bag.I personally have not used, nor would use, as a gym bag due to the size. It probably would not fit in the typical size gym lockers that you would see in a typical gym.Care: When you receive this bag the leather will be somewhat stiff....this is natural. As you use it the leather will soften. However, what I have done to protect the exterior of the bag's leather and also soften it a bit is to sparingly apply some mink oil to the outside of the bag with a paper towel and let it sit overnight. I do this was almost all my leather products.In short, this is a great product by Berliner. I have no complaints and highly recommend it. It is great value for the money and I am sure will probably last a lifetime. It has served me well so far.

What a Bag ! First let me address how Handsome this bag is ! I was planning a quick trip to visit my parents in The North east when I decided I needed a carryon for my present and future travels.The Bag itself is of a High quality REAL Leather that is exceptionally made. I really appreciate the the designer “Berliner “ for thoughtful designing a bag that has Lots of useful storage.Keep in mind this is a small to medium size bag for light travel I would not recommend carrying over 80 lbs with this bag as you can damage the bag .Overall I like the minimalistic approach for this particular bag , fits my tech things no issues. However the bigger pocket could nicely fit a small tablet or Gaming device. Smaller laptops like mac book air or surface Go or Pro might need to place facing up . Could get damage if your carrying more things if faced up.The leather should strap is a nice touch but over extended time over your shoulder starts getting little uncomfortable. I would try adjust firmly to your body to elevate the discomfort pressure on your shoulder or lower back. Don’t keep it lose on your shoulder to avoid altogether.Berliner one request i have is do you have or could create an all leather sling bag or conceal carry bag .Mark S.

Updates below!This bag is beautiful and hopefully the replacement will be better but regardless of price I should not receive one with corroded rivets. Every single river on here is corroded.Also, there are oil drips and splash marks and another weird line stain on the bay that don’t come through in photos. Quality assurance should be better.-- 2023 UPDATE --I received a replacement bag with no corroded hardware. I've now used the bag for several months, multiple road and air trips, including several weeks overseas. It's held up nicely. I wasn't crazy about the wrinkly leather and not sure why it is so wrinkly [different from distressed leather I've previously seen]. But I've accepted it and am more or less ok with it now. Anyway, this is the perfect overnight or weekend bag. A lot can be stuffed inside and the interior pockets/organizers are handy, but they don't get in the way if you prefer to not use them.

I have been looking around at leather bags for a little while now… I decided to pick up the Oslo from Berliner after taking a quick look into their company. I saw plenty of key markers I liked, well built zippers, veg tanned leather, and a price tag sub $200. Understand leather quality in this price range will not to be top of the line. This goat skin leather is decent, although it’s not full grain, I suspect it to be top grain leather. It certainly isn’t bonded leather, I know that for sure. Overall, the bag fits a healthy 3 days worth of stuff, the hardware is nice, looks fashionable (if you like lighter color leather), has nifty pockets, and it comes with a nice canvas shoe bag (if you opt for the one without the shoe compartment). My biggest gripe is the handle - it feels rather cheap. I’m still happy with my purchase. If you want nicer quality, your going to have to up your price range to $300-600. This is a good starter bag if you are just getting into leather goods.

Just received and used travel bag for a weekend away. Received a compliment right away. Good size for a couple of nights away. Has met all my expectations to date.
