Q: why... why does it have a nose cleaning attachment?

my understanding is that, Nose cleaning attachment is for cleaning and clearing your nose when you have a cold or stuffy nose. There are other devices that only cleans noses. Apiker does double duty. Mine broke down after 4 months. I have Emailed apiker 8 times about it and have NOT received any reply. " Buyer Beware"!!!.

Q: Can you add mouth wash to the water without harming the machine?

yes you can add mouth wash to the container without harming it. it also tastes better. Due to my MAJOR halitosis, my dentist recommended TWO drops of Clorox ( you read it right!!) in oral irrigator with full tank of warm water to disinfect my gums and eliminate the bad breath. Nothing had worked completely for me in 10 years of trying various gargles and mouth washes. THIS WORKED. honest!! TRY it .
