Mainstay Memory Foam Convertble Futon, Camel

The leg holes were not placed correctly by the manufacture. Per the instructions, the center legs are suppose to connect the 2 sides, but someone put holes on each side only, with no way to connect the 2 sides. See photo. The outer legs are suppose to slant outward for support but, whoever placed the holes, make the outer legs connect inward. See pictures.I am so disappointed and possibly without a Couch before Christmas.Am I suppose to pay for shipment to return this manufacture screw up?This Futon is heavy. I am only 110lbs. Used all my energy putting it together just to realize the leg screw holes are not placed correctly.Mainstay has dashed my hopes. Disappointed!

I LOVE IT! I am not just over exaggerating about it. It was easy to put together by myself (female) and my daughter helped me. It was exactly what I have been holding out for. I was trying to decide between two other items; a sofa or a different futon. I could not decide at all, and after several weeks this is on the futon page and I instantly had it sent to me. It is soft and it is "EXACTLY" how it looks in the picture. Yes, the sides folds up and down. I am so happy. I will update any changes as time goes by as I have it. I am using it in my living room. Notice: There is nothing noted about how much weight it can handle. That is the only thing. From observation, a person should not weight no more than 300 lbs maybe. If a person is tall, they should be okay. If they are elderly, should be fine as well.

My biggest complaint is in regards to using it in full, flat sleep mode - there is an axle/bar thingy in between the two sections(used to snap the backs into upright position) that sticks right into my back when laying down. I'm a small guy and I'm able to kind of contort my body around and away from it, but quite honestly it has become a real pain. There was a foam pad that shipped with the unit, which rested on that spot, and I unfortunately tossed it out with the box. I highly recommend keeping that pad. I've ordered a foam mattress pad, which will hopefully solve this problem.The product arrived in a worn down box that I imagined the handlers had taken turns kicking for a while before tossing into the back of a truck. That may not have anything to do with the original seller, but I did see a similar comment in another review. The futon inside took no damage, so no real problem there, but it's worth mentioning. Happily, I assembled the unit in about ten minutes, with the included tool.With a little imagination and ingenuity, as well as patience and low expectations, this is a product that can be quite versatile. Good for a dorm room, spare room, or starving artist. It's basically a jack of all trades, master of none, couch-themed Transformer. It's far less menacing than many budget futons I have experienced. For me, it was worth the extra 50-60 dollars. It helps that the thing can be dis-assembled and moved pretty easily.

This is one of the nicer futons that I have come across. Its pretty comfortable for guests to sleep on too. It takes about 15 minutes to put all the legs on, but it looks great. It feels well built. I am very happy.

This is a WalMart Mainstay couch. Fast 4 day delivery, 1 box. 2 people & dolly to move; 1 to easy assemble in 10 minutes. Comfy with about 4" of foam & no springs, as opposed to 6" of foam w/springs. Faux suede is a bit of a lent & fur magnet, and may need protectant spray. (?) Had it about 2 weeks, and already got a butt groove.

The most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on.Has a fold point where your butt goes,a raised area pushing on your tailbone,needs 2/3 times the stuffing to compensate for this issue,then it might be tolerable.I can see why this item is disappearing from Amazon.

Easy to assemble. Exactly as pictured. Reasonably priced. Relatively comfortable. I had hoped for a bit thicker padding and would have liked a cover I could remove and wash but overall very pleased with this purchase.

If you plan on sleeping on this, this anit it.. Kind of a cheap look to it as well but its in my husband man cave so it'll do. I had to buy 2 4 inch foam pads for him when he wanted to lay on it no cushion at all.
