I wanted mine to hold a caravan Tyre Pressure Monitor at 25mm thick. I made an adaptor plate 3mm thick clipped into the rear of the Tyrepal monitor. It stays securely in place on the car dash and is also protected from the heat of the sun by the 'lid. Very pleased with my purchase.

If you do not have a completely flat surface the mount wobbles on the silicone pad.I tried in 3 vehicles and couldn’t get it to sit completely flat

Was concerned it would not be secure at first, but once I made sure the surface was clean and dry, and allowed the fixing time to settle properly, the holder hasn't moved once.And that is also on a surface that isn't totally flat too.

After being unsuccessful with different types of holders I thought I would give this a go. Its sticks to the dashboard securely and holds the phone without slipping about. So far so good very pleased with it

Held my phone ok but when driving speed bumps meant it pressed on the sides enough to press buttons not great when using the phone for navigation or music
