Peugeot - Bistro Manual Salt Mill - Classic Adjustable Grinder - Beechwood, Chocolate

Very cute, work perfectly. Have one at each end of the table in easy reach of my guests, plus an extra by the stove in easy reach of the cook, which is me. I know the trend is to tall, tall pepper grinders, but I like going in the opposite direction from trends, and these little guys mimic the classic shape, plus the Peugeot logo impresses my (I guess shallow) friends who are brand-name snobs I have set them for a very fine grind, and everyone seems to like it. I mix black-and-white peppercorns, and store my bulk supply of them in a cool place using a vacuum-sealed canister. Another reason for small grinders -- peppercorns will stale in a few months at normal room temperature, so it's really good that these hold only a small amount; I waste very little and don't have the hassle of emptying them.

A very handy pepper mill. It literally fits in the palm of my hand. It works very well, and were I to do it again, I'd spent the few extra dollars and buy a bigger one.

This is a great size for a table-side pepper mill. The Peugeot design is classic and it feels substantial (and comfortable) in your hands. My only disappointment is that it does not adjust the size of the grind very much, so a medium-size ground pepper is about all you can get.

Meh. I originally saw something like this at a bakery in Amsterdam. They were so cute, I wanted some for myself.BUT...what I got has an "S" for "salt" on this black grinder. Why wouldn't it be "P" for "pepper?" Pepper is black(ish), not white.The version I saw in Amsterdam had a "P" on the black grinder and an "S" on the salt grinder.

Love this pepper grinder. I bought this one to to carry out when eating out. I like fresh ground pepper. Perfect small size for that

Funziona perfettamente ed è molto robusto

Dit is een redelijk kleine pepermolen. Het is van het kwaliteitsmerk Peugeot. Het systeem werkt perfect. Is vanbinnen wel niet compleet van ijzer en daardoor is de pepermolen betaalbaarder.

Il top. Nessun altro macinapepe raggiunge secondo me la qualità dei Peugeot. Questo modello non è dotato di ghiera di regolazione della finezza del macinato ma lo stesso risultato può essere ottenuto svitando leggermente il nottolino che blocca il tappo superiore. Seppur più artigianale lo ritengo un sistema migliore perché il controllo della granularità tramite ghiera è un sistema in plastica sul quale è installata la macina in metallo. In questo modello invece la macina in metallo è installata direttamente sul legno del macinino.

I have always used Peugeot pepper mills and they are, in my opinion, excellent, but the salt mill doesn’t grind the salt very well. I’m disappointed with this mill. I expected more from Peugeot.
