12 LED Omae Optics 1.8X 5X Dual Magnification High Brightness Ergonomic Magnifier (White)

as a cataract surgery with restorative lenses patient, I found this to be absolutely perfect. The lighting is the best part of all as some restorative lenses require "light" in order to read up close. It's a big large for my purse, so I'm looking for one about 3" for my purse. This would be SO handy in restaurants to read a menu!

This is an awesome magnifying glass with one fatal flaw - the light switch. I purchased 2 of these and both of them had the light switch fail within 2 weeks of owning them. There is no possibility of user error since the switch sits flush with the surface below it. It literally just slides back and forth sitting on the plastic housing of the magnifying glass. The size is awesome and the lighting is great when it works, but both of the ones I purchased burned out very quickly.

I LOVE this product. I bought one for my elderly mother and just had to have one for myself. Greatly helps me see small print (which seems to be getting smaller every day!). Would certainly purchase again.

My husband had two challenges in life. One is to outwit some genius squirrels and the other is to find a magnifying glass he really likes. Since buying and using this magnifying glass, he is left with only one, the squirrels. He likes several things about it. The size of the lens is great at 5” in diameter. It is 1.8X magnification and virtually distortion free. If there is any distortion, neither he nor I could not perceive it. Embedded in the large magnifying lens is a smaller 5X lens about 1”in diameter. The handle is very comfortable in his hand as well as mine. It is light and easy to hold. Now, neither of those things is extraordinary. Both of those exist in other magnifying classes we have owned. What sets this apart and above from the competition is the lighting. There are 10 led lights encircling the large lens which really brighten up what you are trying to read or view. I cannot imagine any magnifying piece of equipment for the average household better than this. I have had others that came close but the 10 led lights truly raised the bar in magnifying lenses. This is really important for older people. Not only do they need the magnification, but they also need the light. My husband loves this magnifying glass. Now if it only took care of the squirrels. Now, I did get this at a discount for using and reviewing it honestly and unbiasedly. Whether I pay full price for an item or get it at a discount would never affect my review. I rely too heavily on reviews myself.

This is a super nice quality handheld magnifier! The dual magnifcation is great. The LED light just makes this a premium product. I actually got this for my mom as an "over the hill" joke because she is always complaining at restaurants that she doesn't have her reading glasses or that "it is so dark in here, I can't see the menu" So I got this, and my mom was so excited about it, she wasn't offended at all she actually said she really wanted it. She brings it every where with her in her purse, and says its the best gift I've ever given her. Haha! She uses it at night to read her magazines and books too. I guess I really scored with this one! It is very light weight and well constructed, I'm feeling quite proud of myself for nabbing up such a great gift. It is very high quality product. I would definitely recommend! 5 Star magnifier!
