Q: what size pants for in wall monoprice 12 guage speaker wire, thanks

I used 8mm pants over the monoprice 12ga speaker wire encased with flextech and some heat shrink tubing on the ends. The fit was snug.

Q: what part has the 8mm? The single end or double ends?

The 8mm dimension is for the main cable end. The pants will most likely fit loose or else the two inner wires will not split into and pass through the pant legs. These cable pants would be perfect if they did heat shrink to fit tight after the cable and wires are inserted but they don’t. As is, they look a little bulky on the wire and not as professional as they could. My 10ga speaker wire could not be inserted through the pant legs at the “Y” split of the 8mm cable pants, so I had to buy the 10mm cable pants.

Q: What speaker pants will fit an 8awg wire?

The 8mm pants were too tight to push my 10awg wire through. I am using the 10mm cable pants and those are a little loose on my Monoprice 10awg speaker wire. The 10mm pants might work for 8awg wire, depends on thickness of the wire's insulation and a combination of its flexibility for bending at the pant's wye split and stiffness to push through.
