Roleadro HYG08-2X400W-W 800W COB Full Spectrum Grow LED Lamp with ON/Off Switch and Daisy Chain Function, 2nd Generation Plant Light for Flowering and Veg

I own 4 of these lights and 4-300w Galaxyhydro full spectrum LED’s. They are great lights and work well for growing. I had one of the 400W COB lights that had a fan on it that was making a slight noise like the blades were rubbing or hitting on something internally . I requested a replacement but being in the beginnings of a grow I can’t just be without a light so I ordered a replacement myself and requested to return the one making noises. I was within the 30 days of purchase so Amazon refunded my money and shipped my newly ordered light out. Meanwhile Max from Galaxyhydro contacted me upon hearing my situation immediately shipped a replacement light so as to not interrupt my grow, free of charge. Now that is customer service over and above what I ever expected from Roleadro/Galaxyhydro. Every light I’ve ever owned from Roleadro/Galaxyhydro has functioned perfectly (up until this one, and it still functioned, it was just making a noise and I felt uncomfortable leaving it unattended during a grow) and actually grow better than lights that cost much more money. I’m happy with the Roleadro/Galaxyhydro products that I’m using and how they function but I’m even happier and a little relieved to know that these lights are backed by a company who cares about its customers and stands behind the products they produce and sell.I been having issues with one of my 400W COB lights being dimmer than the others. Max from GalaxyHydro suggested switching the drivers inside the light to see if it was the driver or the light, which I did and the whole light appeared dimmer than it did to begin with. He requested pictures which were sent on 7-7-2018. Checked the light this morning 7-11-2018 and it is completely out now. Sent a new picture today and heard back from Max within a matter of a few hours. A new light was shipped and arrived today, 7-15-2018. Again GalaxyHydro/ Roleadro shows what true customer service is all about

I ordered the 400 Watt COB LED with Amazon same-day delivery. It arrived same day as expected. Upon opening the box, plugging it in, and turning it on, one of the two fans was not spinning. I let it run for a few minutes and while the lights were nice and bright, the side with the defective fan got extremely hot while the side with the fan spinning stayed relatively cool. I emailed the manufacturer for support and got a prompt response asking me to disassemble the unit and look for a loose connection. I did this, didn’t find any loose connections, put it back together, and now neither fan spins.I feel like I wasted my time and money on a piece of junk. The manufacturer offered to replace it if I am unable to fix it. I’m not sure what the benefit of waiting on the manufacturer to replace it rather than returning it to Amazon and then re-ordering a new would be. Either way, I spent $100 on a defective light and am very disappointed. Judging from other reviews, fan issues are rather common with the light. I honestly wasn’t surprised I had this issue since so many other reviewers had similar issues. Like you are probably thinking, I was hoping I would be one of the lucky ones without issues. It seems like this manufacturer has some room for improvement in terms of quality control.

Ordered this light at the beginning of the month. It arrived quickly and worked well...... at first. In the last two weeks of use it has noticeably dimmed. I don't have anything to measure the light output but I have it next to a 300w LED (non-COB) light from Roleadro (same manufacturer) and it originally overpowered it. Now that has reversed, and the 300w is the dominant light. I was hoping to supplement light with the 300w, not have it dominant. I was excited about the light at first, now I'm a bit disappointed.Update: The customer service reached out to us and is attempting to make this right. They are doing anything they can to correct the problem. Will be adding a star (to 3 stars) just for the attempt and will be updating after a solution is reached.Final update: I have to say the customer service was great on this. I think we just got a bad fixture. It happens. Max from customer service did everything possible to make it right and we are happy with the outcome. We have 3 other lights from Roleadro that work great, so this was just a hiccup.

I'm only giving it 2 stars. I bought mine a while ago my first led. Now that I'm more experienced with leds I wish I would have sent it back. One cob has had a couple rows of leds out on it that were like that when I purchased I didn't know it was bad because it would still light up. I didn't realize until I used my par meter kit from nukeheads when I realized the one cob is weaker by 40% thanks alot roleadro if your a good company you should reach out to me with a solution I'm up to 17 leds now and would like to purchase the new 600watt model and the crew model but not wanting another broken led. Update max from roleadro gas offered a replacement cob to fix the issue, still waiting for confirmation of a fix for my issue will update when I hear back 9-4-18
