I initially bought one of these for parents in 2020 to help decrease their difficulty in reading small print. I wasn't using it at the time, but it was definitely making the rounds between both parents, indicating that they both found it useful for reading. Fast forward a few years and the difficulty in reading small print is causing a real problem in my own middle-aged eyes. That's when a another magnifying glass became a no-brainer. It's a simple product but a well done one. Three AAA batteries (I use rechargeables just fine) create plenty of powerful, pleasant light (via the LED lights) for reading. The magnifying on the large glass is wonderful, although I have always had difficulty with the "bonus" small, extra 45x magnification light. However, I may have simply not had a small enough object to properly view that? I'm not sure. . . Either I'm a magnifying glass moron, or that's just too big of a magnification to properly use on this kind of instrument.! (I see other reviews complaining about the same thing!) Luckily, I've found main large magnifying glass perfect for everything I've needed it for! Lastly, I found out that the company is great and stands behind their product! I had the occasion to contact them for something very minor, but they resolved the issue way beyond my expectations. I am delighted in my purchase to say the least!
