Heyrex Torus 2-Liter Pet Water Bowl, Charcoal

this bowl is well made and sturdy, and the design is very clever. the water never reaches a very high level in the bowl so there is not a huge spill to clean up if it gets knocked over, which really shouldn't happen unless it's kicked or tripped over by a human being. your dog/cat probably won't be able to knock it over as it is heavy (especially when full) and low profile. I've never had a drop spill while it's locked and so far no leaks. i have had the 2 liter one for about 2 months, and just bought the 1 liter. the 2 liter is for the dog, and the 1 liter is for the cats. the 1 liter is significantly smaller than the 2.the bulk of the water is not exposed to the air, so it stays clean. no more dumping a bowl full of water bc of dirt or food in the bowl. just lock the plug, empty out the small amount of water in the bowl and clean. cleaning the water chamber is another matter. so far i've only used hot water and dish detergent, but i'm a little paranoid abt not being able to really scrub the inside. i have not noticed any mold smell, but i expect at some point it will become an issue.all in all i am pleased with this purchase and have recommended it to some other pet parents.

I bought this water bowl for my cat who suffers from reoccurring crystals. I thought this might be better than the standard glass dish I had for him. And initially it was great! But only a couple weeks later, my cat won't drink out of it anymore. I did try to clean it several times, and I was displeased the bowl seemed to retain "ick" regardless. But now it's completely unuable. The whole bowl smeals of sulfur, despite cleaning. On top of that the bowl DOES collect dust and cat fur far more than any other cat bowl I've tried. I thought with all the positive reviews this was a God send, but this is one of the rare times that the negative reviews were all too true. In any case I'm 50 dollars in the hole, and back to using the glass water dish until I can find something better.The pictures included show the build up. After using my already filtered water with the system, why would it possible stain so hard like that? That being said, I'm going to try just using my filtered water and see if that makes any sort of difference.Buyer beware of these cons.

My cats don't seem quite as impressed, but if I had a dog, this would be perfect. It's a bit expensive, but I like that this leaves just a small amount of water. They appeared to be turned off by a big bowl of water.

My dog easily removed the plastic dial and chew it off beyond use. I really wanted to love this as it serves its purpose without the need of plugging it in like water fountains.

It works great. It is just that my dogs won't use it. I think the water bowl needs to be a different color. I put a plain white bowl down and all three of my dogs drink out of it.

Does not stop water flow like it says, but it does hold a nice amount of water - and my cat can't tip it over, which was the main reason I ordered it.

I really like the product and my cat has used it a couple of times. But if your cat will only drink from the faucet, like mine, don't get this. It isn't going to solve your problem with that.

my cats haven't figured out how to drink out of this bowl yet but I like it! Spill proof and easy to use.

Its a nice idea , water gets out on to my floor too easily , I assume whilst my cat is lapping the water
