It is a nice pillow, firm, but that is what I needed. The cover is nice. The pillow was highly compressed and with the foam very dense. There were no instructions in the box, but I later found them on a tag sewn inside the cover. Before the pillow could be used, I had to open the covers, reach into the chopped foam and break it up by hand, a process that took several minutes. Rattling it around in the dryer just didn't cut it. That is why it got 4 stars.

Too hard even after taking out half of the memory particles

I purchased two of these pillows a little over a month ago and so far they've been great.I was a little hesitant before purchasing because there were a number of reviews saying that the pillow would go flat after a month or so and would stop providing support. Honestly, I haven't seen any change in the support provided. I think that the reviewers who've had issues either removed too much foam or are not following the instructions (if it starts going flat you're supposed to run it through the dryer on medium heat to re-fluff it - mine haven't needed it yet).The main other issue I saw mentioned in the negative reviews was that the pillows were too large to fit into a normal Queen sized pillow case. I can say that I've tried them in two different Queen/Full sized cases and had no issues.Personally, I've found them to be very comfortable, especially after you adjust to the different feel of the shredded memory foam. I will say that they are moderately firm, so if you are used to flatter feather or synthetic pillows, this may not be the best choice for you. However, if you're looking for more support than a standard pillow, but find the regular memory foam pillows to be too firm, you should probably give this a shot.PS. After allowing to expand the first time (or running through the dryer) the pillow may feel somewhat over-stuffed. You are supposed to remove some of the foam until it meets your personal preference, so don't expect it to be perfectly comfortable the first time you use it (that's kinda the whole idea behind having an adjustable pillow).PPS. I did not receive a discount or anything for writing this review. However I did buy the pillows when they were on-sale for about 9 bucks each, so I can't really say whether they are worth it at the normal price since it seems to fluctuate a bit.*I will update this review if any unexpected changes occur. I was puzzled when the pillows arrived tightly bound in a package, and flat as a pancake when I removed them. But I put them in the dryer one at a time (no heat) for 5 minutes to fluff, rather than waiting 3 hours for them to expand. And did they ever expand! I removed about a volleyball size of stuffing. My husband likes the pillows more than I do, but I'm used to a very flat down pillow. They look beautiful on the bed. I'm happy with the purchase.

OK, I was apprehensive about ordering these pillows after reading some of the reviews, but I am certainly glad I went a head and got them. I simply love them. Was a little worried when I unpacked them because they are sucked down pretty flat and rolled up tight in a vacuum bag, so it takes a while for them to come into shape, but after leaving them out all night in the spare room and giving them a good puffing up so to speak the next day all was good. They even got better after a few more days. They are firm, but not too firm for me, they are cool, they are heavy for sure and some of you may want to take some of the stuffing out, but as for me I like a nice big fluffy firm pillow. I have been debating on ordering some more for Christmas gifts. A little early yet, but I would hate to miss out on them. So, with all that being said it is simply a matter of personal preference, just like a bed, your sheets, and so on. Again, I personally Love them and at 58 years young I have had allot of pillows through the years. I think most will be pleasantly surprised as I was. Thank You Amazon and Cylen

These pillows are way to big, thick and firm for my taste. They do not fit in standard or queen size pillow cases. Even if you remove some of the foam, they are way too big and firm. I removed half of the filling and it was still an effort to stuff these into standard size pillow cases, and once they were stuffed, they were like sleeping on bricks. These would be deadly weapons in a pillow fight.

My wife and son love theirs, but It was a little tough for me. I fold my pillow and do crazy things with it though. It smells and takes forever to puff up, but 2 out of 3 people in my house love them and we are tough to please when it comes to pillows.

It is a very attractive, quality pillow that quickly fluffed-up after being unpacked. I have removed 3 gallon - sized Ziplock bags worth of filling in an attempt to adjust the thickness to the perfect level and will likely be removing a fourth. I appreciate having the ability to customize a pillow when few are a good fit for an injured neck.
