great for reading codes.
this scanner works as advertised- this isnt what i would call a professional grade, and is non touch screen- here its best to manage your expectation. alot more functionality than my older tool, of course there are alot more sophisticated ones out there but for my needs this was the right tool and the right price. my advise is to understand what you are trying to do bc this will work for alot of needs but sometimes there are needs for a the very expensive ones. if you have to code an ABS module or something like that you will need a professional grade one or do a pay per use style one- thats probably the best option for a diy situation.

Easy to use
This is very easy to use, but you'll have to Google the codes. Like knowing if I need to take my truck to the shop, and if I do, already knowing the codes helps me not get taken advantage of.

wasted money
as for the product goes, it works exactly as advertised, great tool only problem is it does you no good. I bought this to specially diagnose my recent problem to see if I would be able to makes repairs myself. After determining I couldn't, off to garage ( Dodge dealer) I go with printout in hand. Then I was informed that parts are needed to be ordered. what came next was a shock, a bill for $147 for a scan to show what I had already taken care of. So, I bought a wonderful tool for no reason. Their scan showed exactly what mine shown, no difference.

2010 Nissan Xterra
Had to replace Clock Spring. Horn and cruise not working. Airbag light on. Installed clock spring and steering angle sensor. Fixed cruise and horn. Still had light on airbag. This unit removed the codes in STS system. they have not come back. Real time monitor ATF temp and many other sensors. If you are a shady tree mechanic this is the unit what you want. Beautiful ! Super easy to use. Plug and play immediately. Great value and fast. Readings are on the money. Don't hesitate if you're driving an X.

wrong vehicle
Accurately read the VIN of my GMC terrain but said it was a Camaro and showed camaro engines as the options. could be some software glitch but i wasn't taking that chance and returned.

All those buttons are for show.
Not really that impressed. It does ok but it doesn't seem to save the previous vehicle and have to set it up every single time I use it on the same vehicle. There are a TON of menus and sub menus that take you all over the place and really there needs to be a more simplified design. I feel they added the Function buttons just to make it look like an advanced multi-thousand dollar setup....when all those function buttons really do is answer yes or no.... Yet, you have arrows and an OK button to do that on other menus. It's like one person designed half the menu system, got fired, and then someone had a different idea for the second half and they smooshed it all together. Is it easy to use? Wouldn't be for someone who doesn't know a lot of the terminologies, abbreviations, etc. For a mechanic, somewhat if you can remember what menu you dove into. If not, you have to press back 6 times to start over. It reads at a decent speed but again, all the menus and navigation just wears you out. I wished I had paid the extra $200 and got a tablet reader that displayed more information. Another issue, I have yet to get it to connect to wireless. Have tried it on multiple networks and it just won't get connected or many times won't even see a single SSID unless you are right next to it. The wireless antenna is crap for range.
