I have not installed this system yet, I will update my review after installing and using all the functions as soon as possible. I spent a very long time searching for a good quality 4 camera system with a nice screen. I first saw some similar ones from creators on YouTube and looked them up, but the prices were a bit out of range for the feature set. I narrowed my search down to this 9" DVR with 4 cameras system as well as the 7" version from eRapta as well. The features like the quality night vision cameras, the robust connectors, HD screen at 9" in size, and the software that allows video feed to be flipped and rotated and recorded drew me to purchasing this product. This was all at a price I felt was a good chunk less than comparable offerings on Amazon. I wanted the screen to be a bit bigger than the 7" option since I plan on having all cameras on the display at once while driving. When I opened the box, I was immediately taken aback, as the quality far surpassed what I expected. The cables are thick and flexible with tough connectors and fuses where appropriate. Every wire is labeled on the unit for ease of installation. The buttons feel nice and the mount for the screen is heavy duty, something I appreciate, as it will be going in a box truck, where the ride is a but rough. The operating instructions and installation guide is very detailed, and the is a link to a YouTube video printed inside to watch someone install this. That is very nice to have the extra assistance if needed. most of the booklet is for the recording functions and screen controls and even how to search the recording on a computer. I feel with these items at your disposal, anyone could install and use this camera and DVR system. I will update in the future when everything is installed and I have used all the options included. For transparency, eRapta also included a "gift card" in the box for an extra camera or dash camera. I am including my own opinions for this review, not solely for this additional product.

I installed this system in a 2003 30ft motorhome. The good: This is a mid-level 4 camera system with 720 resolution cameras. It is a HUGE improvement over the old camera system. I can now see whats behind me and in my blind spots on both sides. There was plenty of wire and as far as the system itself goes, it instillation was simple. The cameras are powered through the video cable, so there is no need to tap into power at each camera location. I feel I got my money's worth but if I were to make the purchase again, I'd probably go with something else. The bad: The screws that are included to attach the side cameras are aluminum. They will twist off in the hole with even the slightest torque. Do yourself a favor and throw them in the trash and use something else. The default setting when the unit powers up is for all four cameras to record. On quad screen mode, there is a constant flashing red dot on every picture. It is very distracting and annoying. You have to manually stop recording every time you start the engine to git rid of it. I wish now that I had gotten a unit that doesn't record at all. Last, the instructions are written by someone who is just learning English. I mean, how much could it cost to have someone proofread them before you publish? It makes me question the quality of everything else.

I just installed this system in my 1998 P30 Class A motorhome over the weekend. Pros: Installing was easy Great picture on the screen Simple to use for the most part (switching cameras & split view) Cons: Too much sun can make it hard to see Rear cameras are not wide angle like in a typical vehicle Navigating the menu gets a little confusing Other problems I had specific to my vehicle: It would be nice if it came with a way to surface mount or flush mount the screen. I could not use the turn signal triggers due to my vehicle not having constant trigger wires (older flasher) I have not used this at night yet to say much on that. Overall it is a nice system to have for the money, just don't expect diamonds for pennies.

When I set out to build my dream campervan, I knew I wanted some kind of camera system to serve as as both a "dash cam", as well as give me the ability to see what's going on outside the van at night when I've got all the window covers up. After a lot of research, I settled on this Erapta system. I 100% made the right call. The system is extremely simple to setup. I have it wired so that I can have it running 24/7 as a "CCTV" system..good for general security and in case something happens to the van, I have video footage. I installed the 4 cameras up on the roof rack and wired them down to the screen which I have with the rest of my campervan controls. Wiring the device into my electrical system was very easy. To extend the amount of footage I could buffer, I purchased a separate 256gb micro-SD cart, and the head module of this unit has no problems using it. As for the cameras, they work great. No sealing issues, no issues with EMI. When they get dirty they can be a little hard to see in night-vision mode, but a quick cleaning restores the image quality. I can't really ding Erapta for that, since even the most expensive camera would have issues if dirt is on the lens. The head module is great. It's simple and trustworthy..it just works how I expect it to. It has nice features to arrange the camera views, dial in camera settings, and change how it handles recording. Like I said..it just works. A minor nitpick I have is I wish the SD card slot was accessible from the front. Since I recess-mounted the module in my control panel, it would be a pain to get the SD card out - However, this was my choice and I doubt many customers are doing what I did. Most people would surface-mount the head module. I highly recommend this camera system for all RVs and Campervans. It's an essential addition to our van security and really great when you're camping and hear a weird noise outside. I just turn on the screen and check it out, without having to open my window covers or use a flashlight (exposing the fact that we're camping). It's especially helpful when we are trying to be "stealth", camping in parking lots that say no overnight camping. Lastly, Erapta's customer service was extremely helpful I had with some questions during the install. They are very responsive and understood my nuanced technical questions immediately.

eRapta's customer service is unbelievable. I bought my system three years ago and ran into a problem with it. Their customer service patiently troubleshot the issue, narrowed it down to a non-functioning camera and is replacing the camera for free! Three years old and they still stand behind their product! I am amazed to find such customer service from a company now a days and the system works really nicely. I would definitely buy from these folks again and would highly recommend them to anyone. It has made me much more comfortable driving my RV towing a Van behind it. Thanks!
