These shocks are working out great so far. These are replacing some cheap Gabriel brand shocks that failed in about a year. This truck has a plow mounted on the front, so I wanted some additional support in the rear when the bed gets loaded up to balance the weight on the front. Install took about 45 minutes, it's just two bolts on each shock. The most difficult part will be breaking loose the bolts if they have never been serviced before. I started with the rear axle in the air, but had to lower the truck down some to line them up, pretty straightforward all said and done. Although every truck will be slightly different with varying leaf springs and suspension setups. Immediately after install I measured the rear about 7/8" higher, and loaded up 500 pounds of sand bags in the very rear of the bed, behind the rear axle. The truck barely dropped, and drives great. Really impressed with these so far, and the shocks themselves feel like much better quality than standard aftermarket OEM replacements. Only thing to note, make sure the springs are seated correctly before installing, and maybe pump the shocks a few times before installing. Mine must've got knocked pretty good during shipping and were laying on the side, so it's a good idea to make sure the oil inside is flowing and the springs are seated properly. They arrived undamaged though. We'll see how they hold up through the winter, handling the cold, salt and constant weight in the bed. These seem like a very good, relatively inexpensive upgrade to make if you haul any weight in the bed or trailers at all. Especially if you are replacing shocks anyway, these are really only a few bucks more than standard replacements. Overall I'm happy and will be considering these for other trucks if they hold up well, and I have no reason to think they won't!

Helped my 525000km suspension to get from 36 inches to flare to 37 1/2 inch. Works great and rides really nice compared to my blown out shock. Doesn’t seem to be much firmer then stock shocks.
