Short, shady, serviceable Eames Knock-offs!
If you are looking at these chairs, it's because you don't want to pay the $450+ they cost EACH for the authentic Eames version. That being said, I'm not sure how many people will know you only paid ~$40 each with Poly+Bark. I mean, the walnut looks pretty cheap up close, but otherwise the white shell top looks/feels solid.Note #1: The chair has a seat height of 17.25" (If you measure from the sides, it slopes from 17.25" at the front, and 18" in the back. However, while the back of the seat appears to be .75" taller, it contours inwards so you're really still at 17.25".If you research dining chairs, the optimal height is 18"-19" for a 30" height table. This chair is about 1" shorter than the typical height. But, this is not a defect or mishap. 17.25" is the exact height of the authentic chair—visit hermanmiller.com and you will see the exact same specifications. To correct this, I bought 1" felt pads here on Amazon for $7.Note #2: There are MANY listings for this chair on Amazon (individual chairs, two-packs, 4-packs). Whatever set you buy, you will find they all somehow differ in price, even though they come from the same company: Poly and Bark. Even the prices on Amazon differ from their prices listed on their own website. Seems crazy shady (especially when my assembly instructions say "EdgeMod furniture") \_(ツ)_/¯But, honestly, $40 for a set of 4 serviceable Eames knock-offs works for me!

Here for a good time, not a long time....
We have had these chairs for a few years. They get moderate use. Neither of us are heavy people. My husband is 175lb and I weigh 130ish. My husband was eating lunch and the leg just snapped clean off the chair... No warning. The hardware also comes loose easily, so once a month, I tighten everything and check to make sure it's stable. Not sure how I missed the signs of stress.Either way, I'm super disappointed. A simple chair like this is hard to screw up, but the manufacturer cut many corners, including making the legs out of pressed wood. Buy these because they look cute and are reasonably comfortable, but never expect them to last more than a couple of years. :-/

Decent set for the price.
These are very decent chairs. Pretty much what I expected for the price. I got them in the darker wood, which frankly look a little cheap in my opinion. There is no wood grain, they simply look painted. The chairs themselves are quite comfortable. As other reviewers have pointed out, they do sit approximately an inch lower than a typical dining room chair, but to my knowledge, these are pretty true to the actual Eames fiberglass versions and it's not really an issue for me. The chair backs have some flex which adds to the comfort. The bottom of the wooden legs have white plastic feet/caps screwed in. I'd advise you to look into getting felt circles so you don't scratch up your floors. The size of the chairs is quite good, I'm 5'11 and 160lbs, and they're perfect. The one downside was the shipping, which arrived roughly a week and a half after they were scheduled to be delivered.

Comfortable chairs that are fairly high maintenance
Most things like chairs you want to build it and forget about it, but these require maintenance in the sense that you have to tighten the screws somewhat regularly (once a month). And not just the screws that hold the legs to the seat, but the screws that hold the legs to the brace that mounts to the seat bottom. They loosen as you sit on them and we use them at the dinner table so they get used many times a day. The design flaw is that the gap in the wood is too large and you can't overtighten the screws for fear of breaking the wood. This means there is a lot of squeeking noises when you sit in them. I'm hoping to experiment w/ placing some rubber or felt in the gaps to help w/ this problem; but understand the typical homeowner is not interested in doing this...hence the heads-up.All that being said, they are comfortable and somewhat easy to put together.

Well made, look more expensive than they are
Honestly the chairs are great. For the price you can’t ask for more. Assembly is not hard. There’s purposely some tension on the legs so yes, you do need to push or pull while getting the screw started for the front or back legs depending on which you do first. I put the back two in first barely in not even finger tight. Then do the same for the front two. Then go back and tighten everything a little at a time till they’re all done. Pretty standard way to assemble something so I’m not sure why there are even the few complaints about assembly. I think I did all for in less than 30 mins.

Like the look but out of the box issues.
We are having problems with 3 of the 4 chairs. Right after opening the box. One had a cracked wood leg right out of the box.(I haven't put that one together) the other two do not sit flat and level on the ground. The one that did go together well looks great and feels really solid. All that said I like the look but not sure about the overall build quality. It may have been due to the busy Christmas shipping season and fridged cold temp in a Minnesota winter.Possibly seller will fix issue. So review may possiblely change

Look good, price is right but wobbly
I love the look, and these are comfortable for the kitchen table. The price was right, too. But they are pretty wobbly and just about everyone comments on how not sturdy they are. Both the seat and the base flex a little, and it can be unnerving if you lean back a little, but it doesn't seem to hurt them at all. Just tighten the base on occasionally, which the instructions tell you to do. They were easy to put together, too - only took more than a minute because they were wrapped really well for shipping.Only remaining complaint is the little plastic/rubber covers that are on top of the screws on the legs keep popping off under the table. We've collected a bunch of them and will just have to glue them on, I guess.
