Beautiful oil!!!
The benefits of this oil far outweigh the "smell" people keep complaining about. I personally love the scent of NATURAL products from the Earth's bounty. It's a gift that we need to stop being so ungrateful for. This stuff works wonders and it gives my scalp a refreshing feeling, almost like a peppermint oil tingle but not. The scent is dominant but it fades to end up smelling more like a potent Jamaican Black Castor Oil with dark roasted coffee beans and a touch of tahini (sesame seed paste used to make hummus). This 16 ounce size is the best value for the money that I have found on Amazon, but since this ships from where I live I'm going to go find the shop and buy more to do my DIY's with. I'm in love with this oil and abandoned my chebe grease rotuine on my last wash day. This oil gives hair a silky texture that i simply can't describe. For me, my scalp and hair strands soak it right up overnight and there's just a slight oily feel in the morning when i remove my silk scarf. I use this like a hair grease and as a sealant after I shampoo and do my henna mask treatment. I DO NOT WASH THIS OUT! I don't know WHO those directions are for, but you don't need to wash this out. If you have straight, non kinky hair I can understand using it as a treatment then shampooing it out. But not for kinky hair unless you are deliberately using it as a pre-poo. But after you do that, still add it back to your scalp and hair and leave it in. I'm a BW with type 4 hair, high porosity and I'm anemic. I was already using natural things to help with hair fall and shedding, like fenugreek and rosemary water but this oil sealed the deal and I'm losing next to no hair now other than normal shedding. Concentrate this oil on your ends too, twist your hair and pin away your ends and just watch it flourish! Makes wash day a pleasure because it keeps tangles at bay too and when water hits your hair it feels so smooth and soft. It is really annoying to see so many people complain about the smell when you can very easily just melt it down and add an essential oil like lavender. But don't bash a beautiful product with such a rich history just because you're inexperienced with things that are from nature instead of manufactured with tons of artificial fragrances. This is NOT L'Oreal people! It's better! If yours came melted, just put it in the fridge it'll solidify again. Remember, it's been on a truck all day on it's way to you, you might melt in that kinda heat too! It's like coconut oil, solid when cool but liquid when warm. Complaining about that is just weird. Reading the reviews was a bit frustrating because people seem to want everything to smell like their chemically derived lotions and potions and perfumes. Well, this ain't for you then! Buy a different oil if you're can't respect the properties this one has. I love to touch my twists throughout the day and then sniff my hands to take in the aroma of the batana oil. Again, think dark roasted coffee, JBCO, tahini... That's what it smells like take it or leave it. But if you leave it, you'll never know what you're missing! Bought a second 16 ounce jar last night because it's on sale for Prime Day. Whole family will be using it on hair and body and i will be retwisting my son's locs with this and rosemary water. Will post more pictures in 6 months as I've only used this for 2 weeks but can already tell a difference in hair density.

Staple Hair Product
This stuff is amazing mixed with some Jcbo and emu oil (the good kind) the smell is something different but I feel like it does help with scalp health. I used the combo for my son who has alopecia areata and it helped his hair come back in

If You're Shopping For Batana Oil, This One Is The Best.
Get this one. It's the best choice of batana oil at a great price. This is a top quality, pure batana oil from Honduras. Other brands may have an equally good product, but it will most likely be much more expensive for essentially the exact same product. Shopping for batana oil online can be confusing, but trust me, this is the one. This is what you want if you're looking for batana oil. This is the best batana oil that I've used. Others have been equal, but none better. It's real, raw, unrefined batana oil from Honduras with nothing else added. I have used batana oil since the early 2000's and I feel familiar with what it looks like, smells like and feels like. This is it, the real thing. I've purchased batana oil from other companies and none has been more superior than this one sold by RA Cosmetics. Some were darker in color, but that doesn't indicate a better quality product. I've purchased batana oil from RA Cosmetics several times over the past few years, and it's now the only brand I will use. The 16 ounce jar lasts me a long, long time, so it's been well over a year since my last purchase. During those seventeen months, what in the world has happened? Other brands have had their price doubled and so many of the choices of batana online are obviously, almost comically, not the real deal. You want pure, raw, unrefined batana that has a strong aroma, without anything else added to it. RA Cosmetics has remained about the same in price while offering the identical, top notch quality product that they have sold for years. I suppose that between recently imposed tariffs in the US and a new batana trend on social media, other vendors have had to raise prices dramatically. I am impressed and thankful that RA Cosmetics has only increased their price by a couple of dollars in a year's time. Anyway, this is the one to get. It's the right color, it smells strongly like chocolatey coffee (I love the smell) and the texture is correct, melting on contact with skin. My 2b low porosity, dry hair loves this stuff and drinks it up. I use it, sparingly, as a leave-in and it makes my hair full, hydrated, frizz free, shiny and gorgeous. So, yes, just get it! It's real and really good.

Great hair/scalp mask!
I’ve been using this hair/scalp mask for a couple of months now and I really like it. It makes my hair feel much more smooth and moist and healthier after using! The only reason I didn’t give 5 starts is because of the smell…it doesn’t smell the best but the smell goes away after washing it once!

A Hair Miracle- true story
I started using this product seven months ago, and I can honestly say it’s amazing. I wear my hair naturally curly and it really hasn’t been growing for years so I thought I’d give it a try. 0MG! It has grown so much and become so healthy and thicker. Because of having semi fine hair, my edges were always thin, not anymore. I trimmed my hair about six months ago and it still looks like it’s been freshly cut. I swear by this ladies. I used to hate to wash my hair and would only do it once every two or three weeks. Now I can’t wait to wash it because I can’t wait to use this. It smells wonderful. It feels great And I know it’s helping my hair. My hair has not been this healthy in over 20 years. I just trimmed it again and I cannot wait to check it in six months. My hair is so soft and shiny and real manageable. I am going to try out other products of yours. Thank you from: So Satisfied Kim

Works Great but Stinks
I didn’t use it as directed. I wet my hair in the shower, placed the product on my ends, and kept it on for MAYBE 10min. Before washing. It smells like coffee and cigarette breath or like.. stale cigarette butts put out in old coffee. I shampooed 3 times afterwards and the smell wouldn’t go away.. my husband said it didn’t smell THAT bad and my MIL said the same but to me? It was just yucky smelling. HOWEVERRRRR I say all of that to say… I let my hair air dry and wrapped it in a bun to keep the stank away from my face and woke up this morning to the silkiest hair I’ve ever had. My hair is incredibly soft and looks healthy this morning?? I had full intentions on returning because the smell was that awful to me BUT with these results I’m thinking I am going to give it a few more tries doing it the way it is recommended and wrap it up in a plastic cap to keep the STANK contained and will see if I can handle it then. (I’m being harsh on the smell, probably more than it deserves, because I do no fragrances in my home.. so, I’ve become very sensitive to smells. So - if you are someone sensitive to fragrances… this review is for you!)

Nauseating Smell
Horrible smell. Be aware. It is so incredibly strong that I am smelling all day, on my bedding and makes me nauseous. The pungent smell also gives me a headache. It is not that I am sensitive to smells because I wear perfume every day. Just be aware that the smell is very unpleasant . Item being returned.
