DAVID SHAW 20 Piece Quarry Flatware Set, Copper

Love these! They look so beautiful with my kitchen. The only thing is that it looks like the copper plating is already starting to wear off. :( I did buy the returned ones so maybe that has something to do with it. IDK

I agree this is a gorgeous and stunning set of "copperware". When we first got them, we were wowed by how elegant and beautiful they look on the table setting. Very shiny, with some heft to each piece which exuded a sense of quality.But after only a few weeks, tiny bits of the copper plating started flaking off. We were concerned whether we had ingested the flakes or not in our food, because we initially were not aware that this was happening. It was only after we closely inspected the flatware one day while drying them off with a soft dishcloth that we realized that the finish was flaking off.We never washed them in the dishwasher, we only hand washed them to keep them looking beautiful.We also had the same problem as the other reviewer with the knives - they have a very dull blade which literally could not cut various types of meats.If the finish wasn't flaking off, we would definitely give this 5 stars. But since we can't use them anymore, I can only rate them with one star, which is a real shame because we really wanted to enjoy these for years to come.

These things look great, at first. They feel great and have a good, solid weight to them. But, little more than a year later, they look terrible. Most of the copper plating has worn off and they’re splotchy and worn out.

They're nice and heavy, which is good, though I think they're a little bigger than other sets of flatware I've owned. Specifically the spoons. The teaspoon seems like a normal size but the tablespoon barely fits in my mouth.I've had them for a year this Christmas, and the copper finish is definitely flaking off. They're turning a little green in spots between the fork spokes.

This set is beautiful, stunning really. Also it's got a nice heft to it. Feels very solid. 1 complaint, the knife won't cut into meat. It was so hard to cut cooked chicken. Perhaps serration of the knife would've encouraged paint peeling so from that stand point I can live with it.

These are amazing! Their sleek, always shine, and very heavy. We only use them for special occasions and they always impress our guests.

bought this set for over $90, hoping it would be good quality and durable. Rusted only after a few washes, looks horrible... waste of money.

I absolutely love the sleek look of this flatware. I ordered two sets. I've looked everywhere and you cannot beat the price and style. I'm very happy with my purchase
