Lights look great on board. Package came a day late(after i left for vacation) in some janky box. It was a large box that somebody had cut down to size and folded where they had cut flaps into it. Dont know if seller did this or if shipper destroyed original box and thats why it was late. Inside the package were the lights and 1 strip of bubble wrap and both were just rattling around in huge box. Light seemed to weather the storm. I put them on drop down board. Heated up plastic base of lights with blowdryer and installed between truck and board. Pretty easy but i dont think heating light base helped to much. Maybe i didnt hold heat on long enough. Battery box is right up against the trucks due to curvature of board. We'll see if this leads to futrure problems so far good though. Also when i attempted to peel backing off of glue strip, the glue and paper backing came off of led strip. I had to press both back on to led strip and carefully seperate paper from the glue and stick light strip on to board. It is kinda holding so far (about 4 days riding) but is peeling up near the plug. May have to get different glue strip. Son likes the lights tho and his friends are jealous. Would give 5 stars if wasnt for shipping confusion and that glue strip that i know im going to have to replace.Month and a half later. With minimal riding 20 to 25 times, glue is kinda holding up, occasionally i have to mash glue and light strip back onto board but still only at the end by the controller. See pics i just added. Im sure it would have held better if it hadnt become seperated from led strip when i removed paper backing so be carefull. Son loves lights and gets a lot of compliments. Helps greatly for his visibility at night but won't light the way in front of you. Worth it.

Well they are bright don't be misled by how bright their actually claiming them to be the installation is easy but you will have to upgrade the adhesive they don't stick very well for very long decent lasting on the battery per charge over all a good product but not quite worth 50 Bucks, should be more like 30.

This is an excellent product. Very easy to install. The lights are very bright, very visible and overall very well made. The instructions leave a bit to be desired. They do not explain that you need to cut out a center piece for drop down trucks with a hack saw. Luckily the company that makes the product had plenty of videos online.I ended up making some hack marks quite easily on the battery case, which was annoying and makes me wonder how the case is bulletproof but not hack saw proof.

I have not installed this latest ThirdKind Lights. I had one in the past and it work perfectly but was easily damaged when I went over a wooden construction v shaped ramp that slice the lights in two, when the longboard got stuck on it. This time before I install the lights, I plan on installing rails at the bottom. I have tried in the past to contact you about this. I never received a response. Can the lights be bought separate from the housing if they are damaged?

Had these on my Exway X1 for about a week now and so far they are great. I've ridden them probably 30 miles through rainy and dry days, still working great. Only thing I wish is that they offered a model with dual strips since I can't mount another on my back truck due to the motors being in the way.

This product needs better quality control during manufacturing. Wires where not soldered to the circuit board very well: a few of the multi colors did not work because of this issue and the wires that where lose flickered dimly or not at all intermittently.I purchased a 2nd one as a replacement and the wires that came out of the “battery box” thru a narrow slit opening in the plastic case had been crimped into by the box covering exposing bare wires that later completely broke off! This wire strip connector attaches to the lite strip.The lights looked great when the wires did not break away from the box or when the soldering to the circuit was well done and not cold soldered. Send the Bad units back to ThirdKind for a replacement.

I really liked these lights. I got many compliments at night skating here in and around my college campus. The problem is that they advertise these as some highly durable lights. With a $50 price tag, I expected nothing less from them. I got my value for about the 1st week. After that, bam one of the colors no longer works. As said before, with a price tag of $50 I expect a durable, well done product. They did not last very long. I use them for my longboard on bumpy surfaces; the streets, hills, and the concrete which is bumpy around campus. I can’t imagine what a skateboarder who does tricks would even go through. If the price tag of these were about $20-35, I would indeed love these and keep these. However, with the $50 price tag, I must return these.
