It does exactly what you expect a jock to do. I'm a big guy and need one of these when I use my Nordic Track. This is the one brand that actually fits me. Make sure you read their sizing chart -- these are not normally sized; if this were made by someone else it would be a 3XL or possibly a 4XL. The one complaint is that the wide waist band does flip over while I'm wearing it. I'm used to it, but I prefer the 1-inch band on their swimmer's jockstrap. Nevertheless, I still like this one. I've owned several over the past few years, and they hold up pretty well. If you get a loose thread on the elastic, though, you need to snip it and add a tiny drop of clear nail polish or glue, otherwise it will eventually unravel. I didn't follow this advice (and I knew better), so that's why I needed to buy this one as a replacement.

They have discontinued the bright color and for good reason.. I got a red pair that was ruined in the first washing. But the black and navy are holding up well. A little surprised to see such a well known brand , with a label that says made in Vietnam. Maybe if they were made in the USA, the quality would run through all the colors, which was something I was specifically for. I have well water, and between the iron in the water and the sand and dust from living on a dirt road, I have thrown away all my white socks and underwear.They are never truly white after the first wash. Was looking for some colors that would stand out at a reasonable price. I can't see paying $20 to $30 dollars or more for a jock strap because it has a name on the waist band. I'm sure they colors are gone for good, which is a real shame. But the dark ones are worth the money.

I found it difficult to locate a Safe-T-Gard jock for long time. I've tried other brands but none seem to fit me as well as this brand. I used to wear the swimmer style 1" waistband, but still have trouble finding them so thought I would give the large band a try. Glad I did. I was afraid the large waistband would give a problem of discomfort due to width or of folding but it has not yet. Very comfortable to wear all day with just enough room where it counts to keep you supported without feeling restricting. I did notice some reviews talk about durability. That should not be a problem since I always hand wash and hang dry jocks.

I like the wide waist band. The material is an open weave which makes it feel good on you. The pouch is also the stretch material which should hold any size of junk. For me, it's a great fit and comfortable.

Like this jockstrap a lot but I do notice how it shrinks in the wash. I’ve had it for two months and the pouch can’t keep things in place and I usually fall out the side. I’ve had problems with this happening with this brand and I usually have to repurchase them.

I wasn't too crazy about wearing a supporter, they tend to be uncomfortable and make it so my sack is compressed like coal being turned into a diamond (too tight); that isn't the case here. This strap fits well, offers plenty of support but, doesn't leave the boys in awkward positions.I intend on purchasing a few more of these for every day wear, they are just as comfy as most undies and they make sure the boys aren't slammed around.

Jocks are very personal purchases and it takes some time to find one that fits just right. The SafeTGard is the one that works for me. I found that more expensive, better overall quality jocks than the SafeTGard didnt hold me right. Oddly a medium in other jocks I tried has smaller pouches - and I'm not actually big. With the SafeTGard, the small fit great, the pouch holds nicely and the waistband is low and tight the way I like. The fabric quality isn't tops, but at this price I can afford to replace regularly. A 'classic' jock strap look too.
