KYB- a reliable choice
Had these installed about 1.5 months ago. They work as expected and seem to have been a good purchase.

KYB 334451 GR-2 Strut - Left Front (driver side)
Good quality struts.Incorrect image on amazon site. Always cross-reference with a couple of auto part stores' online sites for the correct part. The last ones that I had on my car lasted 112,000 miles. When I pulled the old ones off and checked the brand name on the struts, they were KYB. The mechanic I called for the estimate to replace both my front two struts wanted to charge me six-hundred-forty dollars. According to him KYB struts were the best struts in the market. I found these KYB struts on amazon for much less. My total out-of-pocket expense for the complete front strut replacement was two-hundred-eighty dollars (85 each for the front two struts + 26 for strut boots + 40 for torque wrench + 40 for coil compressors + 4 for a tube of anti-seize compound)+ the 70 dollars I paid to a tire shop for the wheel alignment.I had never done a strut replacement before. Preparation is a must. Haynes auto repair manual came in handy, so did a few strut replacement videos on youtube.Took me about 5 hours total to complete the strut replacement on the left and right front. Not having anybody to help made it difficult. Also, not having a vise to mount and hold the strut-coil assembly in place made the work even more difficult, although having a vise wouldn't have helped because I don't have a work bench to clamp the vise onto anyways. That made for some very dangerous work because I had to work on the strut/coil/coil-compressor assembly by holding it down between my knees - a sure way to get gelded if the coil would have snapped. It felt good to be able to replace the struts myself. But that feeling didn't last long because for the next two days the whole body was aching bad - back, shoulders, wrists, legs(especially the knees). I have to replace the rear shocks next, but I am not looking forward to it.These struts don't come with any warranty. The original factory- installed KYB struts on my car lasted 112,000 miles. Auto part stores like Kragen/O'Reilley will give you lifetime warranty on the struts, but will charge you about one-hundred-twenty dollars each. So, buying these struts with/without warranty is your choice.Bottom line - Good quality struts. Replacing struts/shocks in a dangerous, dirty, and painful work. If you can afford it, have a licensed mechanic do it for you.
