These are the ONLY thing that stopped my recurring mastitis after four babies!
I have four little girls, I breastfed each one, and always ended up with a horrible case (or several horrible cases) of mastitis with each baby. I tried everything: cabbages, massage, silicone nipple guards, lanolin, every product I could find. Nothing prevented it, I would just get horribly sick and have to take antibiotics over and over. When pregnant with my youngest baby, I heard about sterling silver nipple covers helping nipple cracking and mastitis. I did a ton of research before finally ordering these. They arrived two days before my due date, and at first I couldn't believe they were actually sterling silver, because they were so lightweight. So I sent a worried email to the company: "I'm two days from my due date with my fourth child. Due to nipple cracking I've had horrible mastitis within days of the baby's birth with every baby so far. Nothing has worked before, aside from antibiotics. I bought your product in an attempt to prevent the mastitis this time around, and I'm so happy it arrived before the baby's birth. That said, I'm very very familiar with sterling silver, and these nipple cups don't seem anything like sterling silver. I see the 925 hallmark, but I don't believe it. They're too lightweight. However, I'm hesitant to return them because my need for nipple protection is so dire. From customer reviews your company doesn't seem dishonest. So I'll ask you: can you promise me that if I take these to a jeweler, they'll test as solid sterling silver?" In response to my frantic email, D'Ana sent me this kind reply: "Thank you so much for your genuine email and for your trust in Amorini. First off, sounds like tomorrow is a BIG day for your family. Wishing you a smooth and healthy delivery! I am so sorry to hear about your struggles with breastfeeding and mastitis. Also, thank you for voicing your concerns, you deserve answers to any and all questions before you trust a product, a brand, or a person for that matter. Amorini are manufactured in Italy, in a facility that is controlled and regulated by the Italian medical regulatory authority; they are made from a solid plate of the purest silver that can be molded into shape, Silver 925‰ where the alloys are hypoallergenic metals. The plate is thin, in an attempt to create a product that is not too heavy and will not cut into the skin if pressed against tightly, such as in situations when the mother's breasts are engorged or when wearing a tight-fitting top or bra. I have started this company after struggling with breastfeeding my first born, almost eight years ago. This is not a product I have invented. Silver nipple covers for breastfeeding mothers are very popular in Italy, there are many brands that manufacture them there, and they have been around for centuries. After giving birth, my best friend who is a NICU nurse in Italy (where I am from), sent me a set of silver nipple shields. They helped tremendously and I swore by them. I then started asking my family there to ship me more and more sets so I could gift them to my expecting friends as there was nothing like that on the American market. Needless to say, that is when I realized this product was just too amazing not to be available to moms here on the American continent. The product I was gifted 8 years ago was actually made out of copper & nickel and plated with silver. That silver coverage is pure silver, and this is how some companies (who manufacture and/or sell plated cups) advertise, and it does sound like it may be better than Sterling Silver, however, the nickel copper alloy is highly allergenic and the fine silver coating scratches easily and exposes the underlying metal. Mine scratched within weeks. I have no metal allergies, so I continued using them regardless, but the silver coating just kept coming off in more and more spots. With this experience in mind, when I started Amorini, I chose to use a manufacturer that produces them from solid silver, although it would be more profitable to have them manufactured from a less valuable metal. I stand behind the product I share with fellow moms, so please let me know if you have any other concerns or if you have any feedback as you get to use the Amorini. Wishing you the best (and lots of rest). ❤️ D'Ana" Nine months later, I can promise you two things about these nipple covers: 1. They are DEFINITELY solid sterling silver. 2. They WORK. Use them! I couldn't believe it at first: no nipple cracking? At all? No mastitis? How?! It was a miracle. After 4 months I started taking the healthy breastfeeding for granted. I thought, "I can probably stop wearing these, I'm sure I'm past the danger window for mastitis." Two weeks later I paid for my arrogance with a terrible infection complete with raging fever, and a visit to the doctor for antibiotics. My husband made me swear I wouldn't stop wearing the nipple shields for longer than 12 hours until I stopped breastfeeding. It's totally worth it to avoid the infections! You won't regret buying these. They are wonderful, the best nipple covers on the market. You can trust this company. God speed, mamas!

Must have for breastfeeding moms!
I had a crazy experience with nursing when I had my first child. The birth ended up in an emergency c-section and my son was immediately whisked in NICU, therefore I couldn't see him for almost 8 hours. The nurses naturally started him on formula, but I was determined to breast feed. I had all sorts of issues with latching, so I was pumping, which is harder on your nipples, and then my nipple tissue was also breaking down - TMI but literally was falling off in chunks! So painful! I went through 4 different lactation consultants, each giving me a different "care" routine to follow after my attempts to nurse and then pumping, but nothing worked. After about 8 weeks of this torture, my husband was speaking with his aunt who lives in Europe, and she told him to look for these silver nipple shields - apparently these are pretty common where she lives. I found these and decided what the hell, I'll give 'em whirl - I was still determined to nurse my baby even months later with all the issues I was having. I SWEAR, it was like magic. I popped these suckers on when they arrived and within a matter of a few HOURS, my nipples had already begun to heal and the pain was almost completely gone. It was incredible. I luckily found a good lactation consultant shortly thereafter, and was able to successfully BF my son until he was 2.5 years old. But without these nipple shields, I likely would have given up - the pain and the condition of my breast tissue was just not sustainable had I not found these. I now send a set to every woman I know who becomes pregnant. *Just a heads up, a small amount of milk will typically collect in the tip of the shield, so I recommend to layer a disposable nursing pad outside the shield to catch any leakage.

Momma milk saver!
Oh my word! These are a lifesaver! Or at least a meal-saver. My son was born with a tongue tie and had a terrible latch. So he compensated by just sucking really, REALLY hard. I have vasospasms (really painful contraction of the blood vessels) in my boobs! Suffice it to say, I was DYING a few weeks in. I was trying creams and breast pads, but the cotton would often stick to my nipples and Hurt So Bad when I went to take them off. And then I got mastitis from a cracked one and couldn't do hardly anything for a few days. I was seriously considering that I might not be able to keep breastfeeding. Then my lactation consultant suggested silver nipple guards, and honestly, I was ready to try anything! Silver has natural anti-bad-stuff qualities (antimicrobial and such. It's why the rich used to get sick less than the peasants, because they were "born with a silver spoon in their mouth"), and I haven't had any more mastitis problems. These are great! You simply wear them inside your bra and pad and POOF! no more friction causing more damage on top of the actual child who is gnawing on your titties! And no need to remember the cream or ointment or figure out of the cream that works for you is safe for your kid. If you are breastfeeding, you should own a set of these.

Holy smokes! BUY THESE NOW
On my third baby, so I knew the pain my nipples were going to endure before I could get a lip and tongue tie revival on my newest baby. I just slathered them with nipple butter and coconut oil, but of course the bloody/cracked skin was inevitable. My sister in law told me about these silver nipple covers and after reading the reviews I decided I had nothing to loose! Within 24 hours of wearing them, one nipple was completely healed; the other 50% ... it’s not been a solid 4 days of wearing them 24/7 and both nipples are 100% healed of cracks and bleeding. Not sure if there’s magical healing powers in the silver - or it’s the magical breast milk that collects in the little cup all day helping heal as well. Whatever it is - thank you!!! It also helps with chaffing against your clothes/bra ... they do look like you have high beams on all day - so that’s annoying, but so worth the relief!
