I got the 18oz and wow. It comes folded I rolled it on an old roll and it straightens out with water. It’s very thick and am excited to use for a bunch of layers.

Good product at a good price

I purchased this canvas primarily because I had a 6’ x 6’ frame, and the rolls of canvas did not come that big.When I opened the package and unfolded it, there were fold creases as shown in one of my pictures. But I was not worried as I figured they would come out with the stretching onto the frame.I did run and iron over it once I cut it to the size I needed. I am not sure this was needed but did it to be safe. The ironing took most of the creases out. But then when I stretched it on to the canvas they all came out. As in picture 2.I have not primed and used it yet but sure it will be fine. The canvas is nice and thick (I purchased the medium thickness). I still have a lot left for another larger canvas and will definitely use them again. Especially for large sizes.

I use a sprayer to wet the canvas to take out light wrinkles and have a steamer ready for the heavier wrinkles. I have had more wrinkled blankets than this company though, they’re pretty good. When you wet it you’ll get a straw like smell and the run off will be yellow. I contacted them about this and it’s just the natural properties of un bleached cotton and shouldn’t effect archival quality.

These days, most things are smaller or less than you think they are. Not so in this case. It arrived well packaged and exactly as described.

Excellent canvas

Stretch this "heavy-duty canvas" on my hand built large strechers creates an excellent canvas to paint on...Takes the gesso well to creates a tight surface..Definitely a 5 star rating...
