Model A1706 flawless replacement
This model computer had the dreaded flex gate issue where the flex cable for the backlight slowly splits in half internally. I have to say this screen replacement worked FLAWLESSLY. Absolutely amazing screen and everything works as it should. Camera is excellent, no missing pixels, and brightness is fully adjustable. I attribute the bad reviews to people installing this screen into models it wasn’t meant to be installed onto. If you have the A1706, this is your screen. Mine did absolutely amazing. Only difference is the new screen is slightly more textured than the original, not an issue for me. Also the little tool set was great. The magnetic screwdriver really helped, although I’d recommend having your own set just so you know you have the right bits.

Perfect fit and function for my 2017 MacBook Pro 13" with Touch Bar Model A1706
An exact screen replacement with the Apple label on the cover and "MackBook Pro" lettering on the bottom of the screen. Brightness is the same as the original screen and the brightness function on the touch bar works flawlessly. My original screen had stage lighting effect as it opened and the screen would turn off when opened fully, another victim of the Apple Flexgate scandal. Shame on you Apple for not fixing a faulty product. Installing a new screen myself saved me $300. Install took a little less than 2 hours, take your time and use a magnetic plate/dish to prevent loosing anything. I installed this yesterday and will update the review if it fails. If you dont see an update, it's still working.

Suddenly stopped working
It was working great for few weeks but it suddenly stopped working! The screen just died! I see black screen and it looks like the screen cracked again! I do no see any external damage but when I gently press the right bottom corner it looks like it's damaged! To conclude, not a reliable product, very cheaply made and easy to break! I wish I could her a refund or a replacement!!

Not bad for $200
Just installed. Be careful not to strip the screws, they are very delicate torque on the original equipment; also place the pieces in order so when putting back it is straight forward as some of the screws look very similar in length and size. The screen works! The computer booted up, this is great so I do not have to pay $500 for apple to repair a 7-year-old laptop with a new screen. Great for $200. This is not as good as the original, color is a bit off more green/blue and not as bright. The hinges right now make a sound in one position when closing them down, maybe they will get a bit better over time. Totally fair for the price! Good luck with your repair!

Replaced and works great!!!
Received item and it was properly packaged. Some screens I get are just wrapped in bubble wrap. This item was packed like it was just manufactured off a product line. Took me about 25 minutes to replace. I’m a seasoned hardware engineer. The hard part about this model is removing/putting back the wifi antenna to disconnect the screen. Everthing else is all about the tiny tiny screws. 5 stars for the packaging alone.

Quality Product
This product looked great! It was exactly like OEM. If I didn't know better I would say it was. It has the Apple Logo and Macbook Pro wording on the front. An installation tip is to make sure the wifi antenna fits back in exactly how it came out. There is a metal tap that has to fit into a groove in the middle. If it doesn't go in the exact spot it will catch the screen and make a clicking noise when you open and close the screen. Again 10/10 looks amazing and has very good quality.

Hinges not aligned.
TLDR: Hinges were not aligned flush to the MacBook, which caused a clicking sound to occur every time I opened the laptop too far and when I close it. Packaging was very professional and they did a good job ensuring that the screen did not arrive broken/scratched. After I finished installing it I noticed the screws for the hinges did not screw in flush with the laptop. Even after unscrewing/screwing on multiple times it did not help. Even so, I tested the hinges by opening and closing the laptop, which resulted in very large clicking noises every time I did so. The screen also did not power on for me (even after charging), but given that it was my first time replacing a screen I’m not attributing this to them since it could be user error, but still something to note.
