The bottle is contained within a heavyweight, flip open white cardboard box which is held together with magnetic closures and protected with its own cardboard sleeve which keeps it all together. There is also a comprehensive information leaflet included too. Unpacking this face cream is an experience in itself and I think the presentation is definitely luxurious.The plastic pump dispensing bottle contains 50ml of product and it has a nice smooth consistency with a white colour with a light pleasant scent. It applies smoothly and readily absorbs into my skin without leaving any sticky or greasiness residues. It is free from any artificial fragrances.The clever cream combines various ‘technologies’ and the resultant cream focuses on vitamin A and its anti-ageing benefits. The cream effectively softens and smooths and I have really enjoyed using the product. The face cream can be used either at night or in the morning due to the photostable formula, unlike most retinoid products and I have been applying it after my cleansing step. I thoroughly massaged the cream into my face and neck and finished by applying sunscreen before exposure to direct sunlight, as otherwise this can cause skin sensitivity. Do be sure to follow the instructions to ensure safe usage.Priced at £113.99 as a one-off purchase or £126.65 if you sign up to Amazon’s subscribe and save scheme at the time of reviewing, this is a premium skincare product and is an investment in your skincare routine, but I do actually think that it is making visible signs of improvement to my skin appearance, and the beautifully designed luxury packaging makes it a wonderful gift. So, if you afford it, I would definitely recommend this face cream and the Medik8 range of products.

I had high hopes for this product based on the marketing and price but after 9 days of using, I can only describe it as vastly overpriced and average at best.I have been using this twice daily, as instructed alongside cleanser, toner and a facial day/night cream, each time I used 3 pumps worth, 6 a day in total which based on my current product, using this amount would most likely last about 5/6 weeks before it is fully depleted. So we are talking around 25.00 to 30 pound a week. It was my intention to give it a month before reviewing as it usually takes at least that to see any noticeable improvement.Unfortunately after 9 days I am going to discontinue using the cream as I have watched my skin firmness and quality reduce in that time, which certainly wasn’t what I was expecting considering the price. The deterioration of my skin is so noticeable to me, I dread to think how bad it will become if I continue.I am not saying this product is making my skin worse but it’s obviously not as effective as the current skin care regime I had been using which costs less than 1/2 the price.The only good points I can say about Medik8 Day and Night cream is that it comes in fancy packaging and the product absorbs well but seriously don’t waste your money. I saw no reduction in fine lines and I witnessed no firming properties at all, there’s better products on the market that cost no where near the price tag of 150.00.
