CarharttMen's Relaxed Fit Midweight Chambray Long-Sleeve Shirt

Whenever I read reviews for Carhartt clothing, there's sure to be quite a few discussing how they don't fit right. Many complain that the clothing is at least a size or two too big. I won't argue that the clothes may not have fit people the way they like, but the problem isn't that Carhartt has their measurements off-- it's just they don't exactly cater to slender men, and their clothes isn't fitted. Naturally, if you are slender and/or tend to purchase/prefer fitted clothing, this clothing isn't going to fit the way you want. If you fall into this category, you may want to go down a size or look somewhere else.The shirt I received was also a bit big, but again, it isn't the manufacturer's fault. I have rather broad shoulders and a wide chest with a somewhat slim waist, so I purchased a large, and while the shirt fits well around my arms, shoulders and chest, I have quite a bit of room around the belly. This makes it difficult for me to find clothing that fits well without being excessively tight. This problem tends to be compounded by the fact that I work out, so I need to buy larger sizes to be able to actually fit into the clothes without having my circulation cut off. That being said, if you like clothes that has a relaxed fit, you should be okay.Now let's get into aesthetics and construction. The shirt looks great, and the construction is great. The material itself feels durable, but is soft enough so that it isn't abrasive and feels pleasant against the skin. It also appears to breathe well as the cotton isn't excessively thick. The stitching is also superb. All along the midaxis the shirt is double stitched. On areas of stress like the shoulders and shoulder joints there's extra material and stitching. It's built to be worn and last. Kinda like your favorite pair of old worn in 501's. I think bearing construction and style in mind, this is a shirt you can wear almost anywhere, any time of year.Again, this shirt is beautifully crafted and feels every bit as good as it looks (not to mention the price is right!). If you can, find a retailer that carries Carhartt so you can try it on ahead of time and avoid the woe of having such a nice bit of clothing without being able to wear it. I'd like to remind you once again that if you are slender or like fitted clothing to perhaps order a size smaller than you usually do. Otherwise, you should be fine. All things considered, I'd highly recommend this article of clothing.

Such a nice looking shirt. Fit was pretty good (To give a sense of my proportions: I'm very tall w/ long arms and broad shoulders. Flat belly, waist is narrower than shoulders.), length is great. For somebody that was more of an average height, I could see this shirt fitting quite long on them, same with the sleeves. Carhartt clothes always seem to be sized for tall/thin, which works for me, but is something you should be aware of if you're shorter or bigger-proportioned than average.I wear this in a "business casual" dress environment (leaning a little more toward "casual" than "business"), and it is just right. The color, material, and pockets are smart-looking enough to not look like a shabby "work shirt" and it is casual enough to not feel overly dressy. I think this shirt looks nice with khakis, and is very comfortable.I wash it regularly, and just hang it to dry. With this care, it has never needed ironed, in my opinion, and I tend to try and keep a neat appearance.I see myself wearing this shirt for a long time, and I have no doubt that I will buy again.

Good fit and comfortable

Love this shirt, I chose it for the groomsmen to wear for our farm wedding. I wanted the guys to have a shirt that could go from casual dress to working in the field after the wedding. It's comfortable, durable, and looks great!

Fits perfectly.

I purchased one, and then after it arrived I purchased another in different color. These are excellent light to mid weight casual shirts, well designed and well stitched. A few comments about what I read in some prior reviews which I personally found to be not exactly accurate.One reviewer wrote that these shirts wrinkle a lot. These are not wrinkle-free shirts. They do need some ironing after washing, but in my experience they wrinkle no more than regular cotton dress shirts.Another reviewer wrote that these shirts run one size larger. This is subjective. I purchased an XL, and it was comparable to most other casual XL shirts I have (such as Polo and Dickies, for example). There are definitely smaller XL shirts out there from some makers. In fact, I recently purchased a similar looking shirt from Old Navy, and their XXL was comparable to this XL, but I believe it was Old Navy which ran smaller. Note that this is 100% cotton, and it will shrink a little. It may or may not be larger than an XL you are used to, you just have to try and see.Another reviewer mentioned that these are light-weight summer shirts. To me they are just a little heavier than typical dress shirts. I personally wouldn't wear them in the summer. For me this is perfect weight for fall, winter and spring, but not for summer.I'd also like to note that the actual color appears to be a little (not significantly) darker than on the images. I thought I noticed this with both shirts I purchased (chambray blue and denim blue chambray).

The shirt was better than expected, really good quality, fit and finish. Slightly generous but Inrun my cotton shirts through the dryer so that’s a good thing. My husband has slightly longer than average arm length and the shirt fits perfect! Love it, bought another after taking the first one out of the dryer for the first time👍
