Works as advertised
Simple concept, well executed with quality build, but a tad pricey. I've used a number of Yakima products over the years and you get what you pay for.

New bike boost width
Got a new bike with a boost fork, which meant my last 15mm adapter would not work anymore. Boo. Wish these weren’t so expensive but they are quality Yakima, so OK…Works as it should, rock solid so far!

Not welded straight. Causing locking issues
Because the legs on this are not welded straight the lock won’t close on the fork clamp. This is ridiculous since both parts are Yakima. Crazy that Yakima headquarters is like 20 miles away from me and they had this manufactured in China and then charge $65 for this. Very unhappy and dissatisfied with this product. For comparison I also have a 20mm model made by Yakima years ago that does not have this issue so basically quality control has gone downhill while price has gone up.

Excellent way to upgrade your old bike rack.
Got a new bike that no longer fit my older bike racks. Works perfectly and locks in nice and tight. The only drawback is that you can't lock your bike to the car anymore with just the rack. You can lock the attachment to the rack but the forks aren't locked to the attachment. Nothing a chain can't solve while stopped for a bite after a long ride.

Perfect
This product works well with my Steelhead carriers and the 110 boost spacing on my Fox 36. They suggest installing this adapter on the fork first and then placing it into the carrier, but I leave it attached to the carrier and just drop the fork in place then slide the axle through the adapter and hub......Easy! Just make sure you have the axle in hand if you do it this way, you don't want to be searching for it and have your bike fall off the roof.

These adapters are expensive but a must with my fork mount thule car rack. It works well and I imagine will last as long as they don't change the standard fork spacing again. As far as I can tell Thule has not made a 110 through axle adapter yet.
