Amazing All-Natural Supplement for Anxiety/Depression
This supplement has allowed me to completely manage my anxiety and depression, without the use of pharmaceutical drugs! I have battled anxiety and depression for nearly my whole life. I have always tried to manage it with therapy and natural supplements. However, I have had to resort to prescription drugs for a couple years. I absolutely HATE the side effects. I hated knowing I was putting those chemicals into my body every day. However, I wasn't functioning well without them. I started researching (like I tend to do with anything and everything!). I decided to try Ashwagandha, based on all I had read about various herbs and vitamin supplements. I had stopped my prescription drugs a year before, and had been using an herbal anxiety supplement from a home-based sales company. It worked for months; however it wasn't working for me anymore. So I ordered Ashwagandha from a different company. And it was certainly helping! I was very thankful!! Once I finished that bottle I decided to research a little more before ordering another. I came across this brand. I like that it has black pepper in it as well; to promote absorption. I also like that this is a once per day supplement (the other was 2x per day & hard for me to remember). This brand is now my favorite! I'm doing better than I have in a long time! I am so thankful to be able to manage my anxiety and depression with an all natural supplement & not have to resort back to chemicals!! I will continue to buy! (And no, I did not receive any discounts for my review. I paid full price & will happily do so again!) 😊😊Update 9/29/17: I had to stop taking this supplement a few months ago. I started having these spells where my BP would shoot up suddenly, and I would feel light headed and like I had spiked a fever. I started checking both every time it came over me, and sure enough, my temperature would be elevated and my BP was higher than it had ever been. It took a couple weeks, but I narrowed it down to my ashwagandha supplement. Once I stopped taking it, everything went back to normal within a couple days. I waited a month. I took it again, and within hours I had the exact same symptoms return. I am assuming that I have an allergy to the supplement. I have had issues with supplements containing ginseng in the past. I have NO IDEA if that has anything to do with this, or not. But unfortunately I will not be taking any ashwagandha supplement in the future. 😕

Far exceeded my expectations
I read about ashwagandha several months ago and was intrigued by, albeit skeptical of, claims it could help with a variety of conditions. I've struggled with anxiety and depression most of my life. Now in my late 40's, I was very concerned the effects prolonged stressed was having on my body, particularly due to elevated cortisol levels. Ultimately this is what motivated me to give it try. I chose this brand largely based on customer reviews; I also liked it was organically grown and non-GMO.Unlike some, I didn't notice an immediate effect. My research indicated it could take two to three months to notice a difference, so I decided at least to finish the bottle, provided side effects were tolerable. I took the recommended dose with a meal once a day. While I experienced mild nausea for several weeks, it has since subsided and not recurred. After about a month I felt a little calmer than usual and had fewer bouts of insomnia. However, I continued having periodic spikes of anxiety, and it didn't seem to have a significant effect on my depression. My pants were becoming looser and looser, but since I hadn't done anything to change my diet, I shrugged it off as mostly water weight. It wasn't until they were practically sliding off and family and coworkers were commenting on my "weight loss" that I actually started paying attention. I was shocked to discover I'd lost 12 pounds since I last weighed myself two months before. I went down a pants size.Four weeks later, I'm down five more pounds and almost ready to drop another size. I have noticeably less abdominal fat, and the urge to binge eat is much less than before. I just had blood work done and, according to my doctor, my numbers are "smack dab in the middle of where they should be". There's a history of diabetes in my family, so I was particularly pleased to learn my A1C was down from 5.5 a year ago to 5.1 now. My doctor attributed this largely to my weight loss, which I'm sure is true. When I told her I'd been taking ashwagandha for the past three months, she said if I thought it was helping, to keep taking it. Is all of this just the placebo effect? Perhaps. The experience of one person is hardly conclusive proof. After three months, its anxiolytic properties are considerable. While ashwagandha hasn't cured my anxiety or depression, I do feel noticeably better. It can be sedating, so I've started taking it twice a day, one in the morning and one before bed, which helps. In any case, I'm a believer and, short of experiencing negative side effects from long-term usage, intend to continue take it indefinitely. Given the results, and that each bottle is a two-month supply, the price is fair enough for me. I'm sticking with this brand. Why mess with a good thing?
