I’m very pleased with zfitei bug zapper. It does an excellent job in catching any bug/mosquitoes. Glad I decided to give it a try because I originally was looking for a replacement bulb for my other zapper. This one is a little bigger than the one I had which is good, reasonable price and perfect for my need. I would recommend to friends/family. Update to my previous review- I guess it was too soon to speak! Today, May 11, exactly a month later I received it, it stopped working. The light doesn’t work. I noticed a few days ago the light was flickering briefly however, today it just stopped. I attached a picture to proof what I’m talking about. You can see it’s plugged in the outlet with no light. I sent to the seller an e-mail with picture attached to resolve this issue and so far nobody contacted me. If I don’t hear from seller for a resolution I’ll return it and would like a refund. From being a happy customer now I’m really disappointed and for this reason I’ll change my rate to ⭐️⭐️ Hopefully I’ll get the seller’s attention with my new review and contact me. I will post the new outcome.

Noticed a HUGE improvement in less bugs (and we have a LOT because we live by the woods). I used to have one of these that had a metal casing so seemed more durable. I've only had this for one summer and it worked SUPER well. I was super impressed for the price/value for the money! My only minor complaint, which honestly isn't a big deal, is that the casing seems like fairly cheap plastic that could potential break if it falls or anything. Mine has held up fine for a summer and again works great. Looks great — NOTE: it doesn't *look* cheap at ALL. It's very lightweight so one time I bumped it pretty good once and it fell over and dead bugs spilled out onto the porch, which wasn't fun but not a big deal. It usually doesn't fall over, this literally only happened once and I learned to be more careful not to knock it over. Unplugged it when it rained (of course, for safety) but it's rain proof and worked great all summer after being left out in the elements, with just plugging it in on non-rainy nights when needed. If you want something with better, stronger construction on the outside of the unit, it might cost you more, but that's something to consider. For the money, this was a great buy and I'd recommend it, though!

I will say - i have tried nearly 100 different methods of “insect electrocution” and similar methods that ended in disappointment- and i can say confidently that this is easily the BEST/ most effective. I have tried the most expensive, highest rated, etc etc and nothing beats this guy. However, there should be a few disclosures. A) there’s nothing quiet about this thing lol when it gets a bug - it makes a sound i can hear from the third floor, and once sent a neighbors dog into a complete nervous breakdown. It’s actually become one of my favorite sounds - but i think it’s important to note! B) BE CAREFUL when replacing the bulb. I almost had a nervous breakdown with this one by all the dead bugs - USE GLOVES. Oh and, i have found it is quite common (maybe twice a week - minimum?) to find the zap sound accompanied by the scent of “burnt bug” - it catches huge moths sometimes that aren’t as easy/quick to kill and could present a fire hazard. I’d also be surprised if this was truly waterproof. It’s very powerful so best of luck!

We have had a bad mosquito infestation near our backdoor for years and have tried everything to get rid of them. We bought this as a last resort and are amazed at how well it works. The first night we used it, it literally would not stop zapping those guys. It was zapping every couple of seconds for as long as we had it plugged in. Our dog didn't like the zapping sound but she is a little skittish, anyway, so we don't leave it plugged in when she is outside. It is very simple and easy to clean and comes with a little brush to make the job even mor efficient. It kills mosquitos, moths, Ankle-Biters, and anything else that "Goes Into The Light."

Updated review. Zapper worked for around 18 months and then failed. I guess with all that voltage and sitting outside it held it's own, but I would have liked it to have lasted longer. Just dropped it down a star. Original review. We don’t often have a mosquito issue here at our house in San Diego, but they have been bad recently. Any time we have spent out on our front patio has resulted in several bites. We purchased this a week ago and moved it to an area where we think the mosquitoes were originating, and the number of bites in our outdoor living area dropped significantly. the zapper is very lightweight and made of plastic, but the construction feels decent. We have left it plugged in for a week and have not had any issues with it. The bottom screws off simply to clean out the carcasses I recommend it.
