Charles Worthington ColourPlex Protecting Blonde Shampoo, Blonde Shampoo to Tone and Restore Colour, Shampoo for Blonde Hair, Blonde Toner for Women and Men, Salon Shampoo for Blondes, 250 ml

I thought I would try Charles Worthington ColourPlex protecting blonde shampoo because I colour my hair regularly - about every couple of months, to chase away the grey - and despite my regular colour-friendly shampoo and conditioner the ends of my hair often feel dry and brittle.£6.99 for a 250 ml tube at time of review is about right for a higher-end shampoo.The shampoo smells nice, and I didn’t have to use much. A blob about the size of a hazelnut lathered nicely and rinsed out well.I didn’t get the Charles Worthington conditioner as well, which might have made even more of a difference. I used my normal conditioner, and my hair does feel less dry and silkier, so I will continue to use the shampoo.I am a bit fed up with everything claiming to be “vegan” these days. It makes things sound healthy, but only actually means that there are no animal products.The shampoo is sulphate free, and the packaging is recyclable, but the only "natural" ingredients I could find in the huge array of chemical ingredients were lemon extract and water:Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Distearate, Lauryl Glucoside, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Benzyl Alcohol, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Parfum (Fragrance), Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Polyquaternium-10, Mica, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Hexyl Cinnamal, Sodium Benzoate, Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate, Silicone Quaternium-22, Limonene, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Dipropylene Glycol, Polyglyceryl-3 Caprate, Propylene Glycol, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Palmitamidopropyltrimonium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Lactobacillus Ferment, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491 (Iron Oxides), CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 14700 (Red 4), CI 42090 (Blue 1).

This is a lovely shampoo from Charles Worthington.The shampoo is aimed at blondes and this is to help keep blonde hair blonde rather than tinged with green, orange etc.I have used the shampoo for review purposes - I found it really nice to use, is a slightly yellow colour and lathers in the hair really well. It rinses really nicely too.My daughter who is blonde has been using it. She really loves it and is happy with the results so far. Part of her hair had been dyed blue and pink some time ago and since it washed out, it has gone a lovely white. This shampoo actually really encouraged the white and it looks a beautiful shade, and helping keep her natural hair from the roots blonde too rather than it darkening.Overall its an amazing shampoo, really nicely scented and great quality.

My partner has blonde, coloured hair and so she was keen to try the Charles Worthington ColourPlex Protecting Blonde Shampoo. Having used this for a few weeks now alongside two other CW products, she is starting to notice her hair feels healthier with less breakage. Unlike some other brands, especially for blondes, the shampoo doesn’t make the hair look dull which is a regular complaint from my partner. She has been using this alongside the Charles Worthington ColourPlex Enhancing Blonde Shampoo and Restoring Blonde Conditioner. Our only negative would be the tube size, at just 250ml. We prefer to buy larger bottles for convenience and so it would be good if bigger sizes were made available.

I love this shampoo. My long blond hair looks and feels amazing. I use this on my kids too and love it.
