Has everything I needed!
I purchased this bottle set to feed my orphaned two week old kitten. I read the directions, cut my x in the nipple, poured in mixed KMR and had no trouble feeding Piper at all. Love that it came with a bottle brush and extra nipples. The Kitten Lady (see YouTube) suggested that when weaning, feed a mixture of KMR and pate kitten food. That’s when the extra nipples came in handy, as a bigger nipple hole was necessary for the thicker mixture. I was able to keep back the first nipple in case I needed to back up and feed her plain KMR for longer. Great kit!

You have to poke a hole in it which is not what I expected. It probably has to be warm like it says in the instructions too because I rushed and did not use a warm needle. I fought with it and lost.I will admit though, I was buying it for an older kitten who was weened already but I have seen kneading and sucking on blankets and this bottle seemed too small for him. Ultimately I am occationally giving him a little in a bowl instead, as a treat. So if you follow the intructions and get it for a smaller kitten it's probably fine, just don't be a silly goose like me! 😂🙌

Does what I need it to do:)
Needed a bottle to feed a 3-4 week old kitten. I was using 2oz bottle w a clear nipple from another brand before this but kitty friend kept me chewing through them. Gave these a try and glad I did. The nipple is much thicker and I feel it will last a lot longer. You have to cut holes in them so I did the usual “x” and gave it a go. She seemed to be a little confused with this being a different shaped (shorter) nipple but she figured it out and it worked out great. Nipple replacements are also interchangeable w the bottles I was using before so I can prep more than one at a time and leave in the fridge for next feeding. Considering this will probably last longer than the bottle I had before, it’s with the price if ur in a pinch.

No holes in the nipples. I ruined both nipples.
My husband was beside himself growing up on a farm. He never heard of a nipple that didn't already have a hole. He cut the first one. I cut second one. We both use different tools. Didn't have some magical 16 gauge needle. Whatever whatever. Use professional mini scissors. Just impossible. However, the bottle the setup the bottle brush all fantastic. Just made it very messy since my babies would just dribble all over me from the extra wide hole that had been created because turns out kitten's teeth will shred that nipple in a minute.I would not buy again only because the holes are not there. I need them there. I don't need to do something extra. I want it finished when I get it. Because even when one tries to make a hole themselves or a crosshatch, the rubber is so malleable. That's not the word it sticks upon itself. It closes incredibly and so it's just impossible to work out with an X-Acto knife, snips, scissor chips, razor, etc

Beware of choking or ingestion
I believe this I caused my kitten’s imminent death. I took in a very young stray kitten, 3-4 weeks old so quickly ordered this for feeding. I noticed after a couple of uses, the nipple, when chewed, starts breaking apart. I changed out the first nipple after about 4 uses. When I put in the new nipple, on the second feeding, when I took the bottle from the kitten, noticed he had bit about half the nipple off and swallowed it! The very next day he slowed down eating, then shortly after started vomiting after every time he ate. Took him to the vet and he’s so tiny, not much we can do. He’s now on day 5 of not being able to keep food or fluids down and so weak. Vet is of the opinion that the nipple is small enough for him to pass it, but seems more than a coincidence that his behavior changed right after he swallowed part of the nipple. If you purchase, be VERY careful to check on the structure of the nipple often to prevent choking or intestinal blockage.

took the kittens a bit to get used to but it works great
only thing i didn't like was that i had to poke my own hole in the rubber nib but but the bottle is durable and love that it comes with a cleaning brush
