I am very pleased with this organizer! It was very easy to put together, even though the instructions left something to be desired. As other reviewers said I also like how the plastic piece on the front of each shelf which restrains the shelf against the supports to help keep them from pulling out, but the shelves are a bit flimsy (Cardboard) and sometimes come off the 1/4 inch metal dowels they are resting on so they are not real secured so when you reach in to get the mail out, the shelves sometimes fall down and all the mail slides out.A third dowel in between the other two would help. When assembling be sure that the finished edges are all on the same side, I had to take it apart and adjust one as I wasn't paying attention when assembling. I put mine together without wetting the dowels so I can un-assemble in the future if needed to store it. Even without wetting mine holds together well. All in all it does serve its purpose and it does the job I need it to do.

I am very pleased with this organizer! It is sturdy, well-designed and relatively easy to assemble with a hammer. It is exactly what I was needed to sort my papers. I like how the plastic piece on the front of each shelf restrains the shelf against the supports to help keep it from pulling out.The organizer gives the choice of up to 16 shelves with lots of flexibility in shelf support placement. You can also use the bottom two shelves as an optional CD organizer. The pre-glued wood dowels (activated with water) are easy to use.My only complaints are regarding the assembly instructions. It gives an extensive parts list, but the rest is mostly pictures. The parts are not labeled but are not too difficult to figure out. Be sure that the finished edges are all on the same side (the instructions do say this much). Also, be sure to gently hammer the dowels in as far as they will go, because the dowel will push out the top or bottom panels (thankfully, gently hammering the portion that pushed out made it barely noticeable).

This organizer was a great size with great options. The biggest problem I had was the assembly. The instructions show to wet the dowels that have been pre-treated with glue. So then as you begin to assemble the pieces, the glue instantly grabs the particle board in the dowel holes and punches out the finished side. So the top and bottom now have bumps and torn finish where each dowel is. These dowels would be better assembled dry or with bottled glue rather than their blue/green glue that makes quite a mess once wet.

It works great. I just wish it had been offered in plain white. The gray color is not very attractive.

Garbage. Seriously, who green lights crap like this. Pre-soaked glued and dyed dowels with a dye that doesn't come off? Dowels that are longer then the holes, creating damage by installing? Save your money or lower your expectations to almost zero.

I bought this for an unconventional use and it works perfectly. I'm a teacher and have 20 Kindle Fires that I use daily. Organizing them and keeping them charged was a nightmare. This solves the problem perfectly. I didn't attach the back so the cords can go through. Then used adhesive fasteners to hold the cords in place. I can fit two side by side per slot. Looks great and the shelves are solid- no worry about them not supporting the weight.

Other reviewers seemed to have problems with assembling this unit. I was a bit uncertain, but ordered anyway, as we needed something to organize our colored paper in our home office. Assembly is not difficult---you just need to pay attention and not bang away at it like a crazy person. Ours went together just fine and is working perfectly. We put it on the closet floor because it is quite heavy when filled with paper. Shelves are holding up nicely. No sagging and one has an entire ream on it. Shelves are easy to adjust as needed. Nice way to keep paper organized without taking up too much space.

Purchased this for my office and everyone loves it. We mounted it to the wall as a mailbox system. It's handy as the shelves can be moved for the amount of material users need. It was also considerably cheaper than the options available through our office supply folks!

I wish the shelves were grooved in rather than on pegs because every time I pull my papers the shelves come out with them. Annoying and time consumingEverything else is well made but shelves are flimsy on the pegs

It was ideal size and had sufficient spaces for my needs. I used wood glue for the dowels and a soft mallet for setting the dowels and putting the frame together. It is quite sturdy.
