When you need to know the date - this is a good clock - does not have a second hand and some times the dates are a little hard to read far away

Wish I could give this clock six stars, because I just love it. I'm a free-lance writer, working from home, and since I don't go to the office any more, I am often fuzzy about what day it is when I first wake up. I put this day clock by by bedroom door, and when I walk to the kitchen to get my morning coffee, I glance to see, "Ah, it's Thursday, and my deadline if at 5 p.m. today!" I like it so much that I bought one for my retired sister, and she loves hers, too. It makes a great gift for someone who works from home or is retired. Because it's primarily and obviously a clock, and the day of the week is secondary, I don't get any teasing from visitors about my failing memory! (There's a day-only clock that may elicit such unkind remarks.)

For when the days of the week run altogether, this clock has been helpful to seperate them. I live in a country where the first day of the work week is Sunday and the last is Thursday. Since I am use to Western ways, this clock helps to see at a glance what day it really is.

There are those reading this review who think I'm crazy. They don't hear a thing from this clock. (That's good!)Then there are those who, like me, are...well, some might say overly sensitive...particularly attuned to clicking clocks and knew that when Edgar Allen Poe wrote "The Tell Tale Heart" he was talking directly to us. We wouldn't even think of buying a wall clock unless it contained Seiko's Quiet Sweep or a Whisper Quiet mechanism. This clock does NOT contain a totally silent mechanism, BUT it is so soft that it's worth getting anyway. Which is a good thing, because as far as I can tell, Day Clocks is the only game in town when it comes to day clocks with a moving hand to indicate day of the week.

This clock was an early Mother's Day gift for my Mom who is in a nursing home. The most asked question by her and others was "what day is this?" This very attractive clock answers the query for her any time she wonders about it. My sisters and brothers and I are very pleased with the quality and style of this product. I, myself, feel a big comfort in knowing that when my Mom wakes from a second nap she knows it's still the same day, it REALLY eases some of her confusion. My Mom has had so many comments about it, (I had told her- everyone at the home would be envious) that I'd bet they will be selling a lot more!

It worked great - Kept mom from asking what day it was a million times a day, but only lasted about a year, then it started losing time, Yes, I did change the battery, still kept losing time, which made things even more confusing :)). Oh well, it was worth it's price for a year of peace. I'll just re-order.

I bought this for my elderly mother so it would save at least one phone call asking me what day it was. Upon waking up from her afternoon nap, she is often confused as to how long she slept, especially in the winter when it gets dark earlier. The hand pointing to the day is great, and by it's position, she knows if it's dark out because it's 4:30am or 4:30pm! The clock is larger than what I had expected or appears in the picture, but that is OK because she can read it from across the room. Looks great hanging on her bedroom wall. She is very happy with this clock.

The first clock I received did not work. I called the company and the nicest man answered (no automated answering service!) and resolved the problem quickly. They sent another clock and a shipping label to send the malfunctioning clock back. This is probably one of the most outstanding customer service experiences I have had in a very long time.As for the clock, it is very attractive and fits in very well in my home. It keeps perfect time and I absolutely love the day feature.All and all this is a very worthwhile purchase.

Fun display, great for the cottage so we don't forget what day of the week it is!

My husband just retired and we bought a cottage so this will be great to have to keep the days straight!! Great quality !!!

Days are easy to see. Very well made. Worth the money.

Love this clock. Look at it every morning. Since I retired I am not always entirely sure what day it is so this just gets me started on the right foot.
