false advertising and artificial reviews
I firmly believe that Oternal has inflated this product’s popularity through false advertising and artificial reviews. Not to say that this product won't work for anyone, I would just like to highlight a few issues that I have noticed. Starting with the product itself, Oternal is advertising this product as a “Pain free and no Hurt Dog training collar,” as stated in the product’s title. This concept is repeated throughout the product’s description as well. As noted by another reviewer, there are inconsistencies between the Amazon page and the actual product manual. I have posted photos that I have taken of the manual so that you can see for yourself and interpret it as you may. The “pain free” theme quickly diminishes in the manual, on page 1 you will find the statement; “at each step, your dog gets to choose whether it’s worth to bark again because of the increasing pain.” The manual is riddled with clues to the harmful nature of this collar. Yes of course the manual features disclaimers of possible risks to avoid legal disputes. And yes of course if used improperly the collar could produce unfavorable outcomes. Although, these statements are not exclusively warnings, this collar is designed to inflict pain. Which is fine, if that’s what you want; but to advertise this collar as pain free is straight up lying. Now to address those five, golden stars proudly displayed in the review column. As of today there is a 97% approval rating. There are 31 reviews, 30 of which are 5 star rated accompanied by kind words praising the product. I’m not going to say that there are 30 artificial reviews but I will acknowledge the fact that almost all of the reviewers have only reviewed this product alone. People who review products often do so by habit. See for yourself, go ahead, click on one of the collars or whatever product that has been reviewed by multiple people. Now click on the name of one of the reviewers, I’d be willing to bet that isn’t the first product they’ve reviewed. I am not the only person who has noticed this, may I refer you to the Q&A section. Now, to be fair these probably were genuine purchases, but I believe a large portion of the reviews were incentivized.I know what you’re thinking, and yes you are correct; this did take a long time to write. Before I make these kinds accusations I want to be 100% sure that they are justified. This collar may be exactly what some people are looking for, but for those of us looking for a truly painless bark collar the search continues.

Scary.... beware of untold warnings
This will probably get deleted by amazon, but before you buy this you should know ..... they left out many warnings in the discription. this is not for a small dog, the collar will adjust but the device itself is huge. The electrodes should be center of throat but on a smaller dog it is on the side of the neck. The discription and sellers answers says WILL NOT HARM PET. NO PAIN COLLAR, I am quoting from the manual many times throughout it states warnings : the electrodes must touch the skin, recommend shaveing pets fur. Caution: dont use if raining could HARM pet. If collar stretches or loosens the two electrodes will HARM pet. Could also HARM children. Keep away from pet. Seek immediate vet care if any part is swallowed. Constant supervision to dog under 8 months to avoid HARM. The two electrodes must be positioned to a different area of skin every 1-2 hours to avoid HARMING your pet. Check regularly for for INJURY to skin from electrodes. If occur let skin heal before useing again. Use on low sensitivity level to prevent unessisary HARM. You can use the black plastic electrode which is weaker to reduce pressure on skin and reduce HARM. If you find INJURY on skin from iron electrodes you can use the black plastic ones. Noises will set off collar, but it shouldnt be so much that it confuses pet. If access head shaking, or scratching, treat for fleas or mites. Battery will last 7-14 days then you order more from amazon. This is crazy! This is what is in the manual! Needless to say, the box did not fit my 4 dogs alltho the collar did after adjustment. My girl went into severe choking sensation after the 1st vibration. There really should be additional warnings on the description. It is not for small dogs.

Cut Naughty Patch's Barking 100%
My not-so-lovely Labradoodle was a barking maniac and a huge nuisance to the neighborhood, letting out unending barks as soon as he was let loose in the backyard. Embarrassment and shame were my feelings often each time I saw the neighbors. My dog was out of control and truly I was ready to get rid of Patch Adams, the loud hound. I couldn't, though because my husband died in February and he's one of my daughter's companions. Plus he can run like an Olympian and keeps me in shape. So, I had to find a solution. First, I bought a collar at PetSmart but it didn't work and was very pricy. I brought it back and ordered the Oternal No Bark Dog Collar. It's easy to assemble. Prior to letting Patch out, I press the on button and Patch holds his head in shame. I put the collar on him and he goes out. It is quiet, the neighbors are sleeping soundly, and Patch roams the backyard as quiet as a thief. He comes in, I take the collar off and turn it off. After three times, I often forget the collar and there is no barking from Patch outside. This collar is a miracle for my family. We get to keep Patch and my neighborhood is once again tranquil.

I was disapointed to say the least. 2 star rating is generous in my case
I always check out reviews when purchasing on Amazon, especially if I not 100% sure of the make and model of what I want to purchase. Iselected this item because of it's rating on a significant number of reviews. I have a Welch Corgi pup. I tried different metal contacts, but the pup as not getting jolts and vibrations as described in the instructions. I did the test to make sure the unit was working. It worked. Just not on the dog. Corgis are fairly long hair so I shaved the area of contact. The collar was difficult to,adjust properly. Even if tightness is good, the balance of the sencing unit isn't very good, at least on her neck. It would work on and off, but was not effective. All I accomplished is giving her a nasty sore. It got good reviews, so maybe Imjust got a lemon, on Corgis aren't built right to use it. I put it in the closet. Doubt I'll use it again. Glad it wasn't expensive, or I would have been upset.
