Well made - works as good as I had hoped
When reviewing this product before purchase, there were a couple of reviews that severely marked down the product due to the poor packaging done by Amazon. My jack came directly from the Sportsmans Guide through Amazon and was very well packaged in a second, stronger box, so everything arrived without any damage. After taking the jack out of the box and looking over the instructions, I found that this was a well-made product, and would be pretty easy to install. Indeed it was! Anyone with enough training to change a lightbulb or set up a christmas tree can install this no problem. For me, it was as simple as attaching the wire from the jack (#10 silver-coated copper strand) into a yellow butt-splice heat shrink connector to another #10 wire which went to the red lead wire in my junction box under the trailer (In most cases, you'll connect the wire directly to the positive side of the battery, which is simpler, but my battery was located in the back of the trailer). If you're unfamiliar with connecting wires with these connectors, you can look up a video on YouTube to find out how easy it is! As soon as I connected the wires, the jack worked like a charm. It looks and feels heavy duty and I think, if I ever sell this trailer, I'll put the old crank back on and the Barker will be coming with me!

Power Jack
Works good, light should shine down toward the hitch, instead of straight out.

2 weeks searching for the perfect jack. If it isn't, "I'll Be Back" to let everyone know...
Ordered these after a conversation with the company rep.. Very nice looking, great white color to match our Travel Trailer and love that they have 24" of travel, won't need so many blocks. The install was relatively easy. As a previous reviewer stated, the bottom hole did not line up. Started to file it bigger but my reciprocating saw made quick work of enlarging the hole for a proper fit. I could have paid less for other brands, but the reviews for Barker were so much better. the 3500# capacity is more than enough. Two negatives would be that the power jack is a bit slow and the included light is not so bright. I don't mind slower, as it is better than me cranking the trailer up by hand, unhooking the stabilizer bars, cranking it down by hand, unhooking the hitch, cranking it up by hand to pull the truck away and cranking it down by hand to level the trailer. As for the light, I have a front cap light that will give any extra light I may need. I did not order the cover for the power jack because I will make my own. I studied Husky, Lippert, Bulldog and others and each had good reviews but, also, had some issues that seemed to be common to each of them. I did not see that with the Barker brand. It took me about 2 weeks of constant searching for the perfect jack and I hope I found it. If not, "I'll Be Back"!!!

SHAME ON AMAZON - The jack was destroyed upon delivery
Placed my order from Amazon Prime free 2-day delivery, which was received. However, I had to refuse shipment because they shipped the jack in it's factory retail packaging and no outer box, which caused the box to be destroyed while in transit, and the jack had apparently been thrown around by UPS until it was dropped straight on the plastic cover, cracking and breaking it in several pieces. When I contacted Amazon, they were apologetic, but offered no other solution than a refund because they didn't expect any more for 1-2 months. I ended up having to order it from another seller in MN. I will leave a review on it upon receipt. What is funny is that last week I ordered a $15 nylon belt, and it showed up in a box that could have housed a small refrigerator, and it had so many of the air-pac bubbles in the box, that it took a few minutes to actually locate the item that was in the box. Literally like shipping a golf ball in a refrigerator box. Absurd. This item had NO protection whatsoever.EDIT 4/26/12: I raised my review by two stars, and I will say Rec-Direct (whom I bought another one from after Amazon failed) came through like champs. Fantastic service, and correspondence to my concern it would not arrive intact again. A+ to them. Now, the big turd of this edited review. The jack does not fit my TT tongue. The top flange is 2 3/8" hole and the bottom flange has a 2 1/8" hole. Don't ask me why my TT is different from everyone else's. The post will go through the top hole, but will not seat into the bottom hole so that it can be mounted properly. I am going to have to take my TT to a welder to have a new bottom mounting plate fabricated, and a 2 3/8" hole drilled in it and welded back to the tongue of the TT. I have a R-Vision Trail-Lite 27QBSS TT. Nothing out of the ordinary to any of the other TT that are out there, except my tongue is different.I am keeping the jack, and will post another update after I finally get my tongue ready so I can install it.EDIT 12/20/12: I was able to get the jack installed, but not after using a plasma cutter to correct the hole size on the trailer tongue. We had to cut the hole out larger because the jack pole was bigger than that the crank pole that came from the tongue. The jack has worked flawlessly afterwards however.
