I like to use a 7” roller for ceilings that are rough enough to require a 3/4” nap. Rollers that hold a lot of paint, as does this one, can get quite heavy in the standard 9” length. I’m a 71 yo woman whose upper body strength isn’t what it used to be, and the weight of. 7” roller compared to a 9” one is the difference between getting tired or not. Good 7” rollers are rarely found In stores , so it’s great being able to order them on line . This one rolls and releases paint well and doesn’t get compacted the way many others rollers do. I’m not sure it would be my first choice if my goal was a super smooth finish, but for my purposes it’s ideal

Wooster products are always high quality & the 3/4 inch nap is great for painting rough surfaces & surfaces that have depressions & grooves, like 6-panel doors, tongue in groove boards, siding, brick/stone etc.

It is very durable with excellent results - an excellent painting tool which holds a good amount of product.

I started using these 7" GEMS back in the late 80's. They cover so much more than a mini roller, and they are not as heavy as a 9" roller (especially when rolling out ceilings). My go to paint store started phasing them out, but fortunately I was able to find them on amazon. Do yourself a favor, and give 'em a try. You won't be disappointed!

Very high quality washable rollers. We use these for finishing drywall so they are constantly in use and being cleaned. They have held up extremely well.

I ordered these because of the size. They fit in a two gallon paint tub perfectly. I looked everywhere and couldn't find this size anywhere. Wooster is an excellent brand of painting equipment.

My husband is painting the rough exterior of our house. This roller has a deep nap so it gets good coverage on all the surfaces.

Most standard paint rollers that you buy at big box and paint stores are 9.5" wide. This was .5" short.I got a 9.5" of same and found that it left bits of nap on the ceiling while using BM Ultra Flat Ceiling paint. Partly not my fault however, for not cleaning the roller before use which pros recommend doing. After the 1st 2 sections, no more issue. And otherwise, roller worked extremely well. Good quality. Holds alot of paint reducing need to push to get paint on and therefore less chance for lines. Also, holding more paint means you can get more on between dips, also making for faster job. Faster job means keeping wet edge and thus, you guessed it, fewer lines. Very slight texture if you look real close at the ceiling because of the thicker nap and thicker layer of paint, but with the ultra flat, looks awesome. Best ceiling I have ever rolled. Litterally, other than a few pre-existing bits from previous paint, ceiling is flawless.

Mientras lo compre por primera vez mantuve bajas mis expectativas para no decepcionarme~ pero oh sorpresa!Que clase de brujeria tiene este rodillo super fab~1.- denso muy denso 3/4 de pulgada, 19mm2.- buenisima absorción de pintura y no chorrea ni gotea! Se mantiene en el rodillo.3.-cuando aplicas la pintura sobre la superficia por alguna razón tecnologica del siglo xxi esta se suelta de a poco! Repito, no chorrea, no se suelta demasiada pintura en el primer contacto, va soltandose de a poco asi que puedes extenderla a placer! Mientras extiendes la pintura esta va cubriendo muy parejo sin dejar excesos.4.- Este se limpia facilmente, yo procuro tener una cubeta con 5 lts de agua limpia y al terminar de usarlo solo lo enjuago agitandolo en el agua, exprimo con la mano y sacudo rodandolo sobre una superficie para quitar toda el agua y lo dejo colgado. . Debo aclarar que lo use con pintura Vinil~ acrilica.5.- despues de varios dias usandolo no pierde absorcion, no pierde forma, no se ha degradado el material mínimamente.6.- espero que pronto vuelva a estar disponible este mismo modelo en presentacion individual!
