Was really excited when I read that it is supposed to work with something as small as quinoa! Good tools can make a big difference in how things go, in the kitchen. Purchased the Elite Strainer/Colander Set to replace the ones I currently have.When it arrived, I thought "Uh oh, I think I made a mistake!" because the box was not very high. And when I took out the items, the large colander looked too short. I took out my old colander and compared them side by side and realized that it's looking smaller is, actually, an illusion. The style of this new colander may give that impression but the size is true. And although I have not used it much, yet, I have to say that I am really happy with it! In addition, the set is very attractive looking!! And I really like not having to deal with/touch metal handles.FINAL: Strong stainless steel product! No more touching metal handles! Attractive product! (At this point, only giving 4 stars as I haven't used it enough, being such a recent purchase.)

Excellent drainage! Perfect for draining my acini de pepe, and lets all the juice drain when I need I need my crushed pineapple "dry", like it ever gets dry (it's pineapple). But I have to say, these strainers have been exactly what I have needed. Great little sifter/strainers, perfect for getting the pulp out of my fresh squeezed juices and the lumps out of my inferior ground spices. I just hope to find this same quality and design in a larger version. Pasta, beans, any fruit, anything that tends to retain fluids and "drip" later into your creation. Just pour it in and let it rest. These strainers will not pool liquid in the corners, or save anything in the bottom. And so far, very happy with their quality and ability to clean.Patiently awaiting larger versions...

This is a really great set. It is well made, lightweight, yet sturdy. Both of the larger pieces have bases to stand. The stand on the 3 qt piece makes it perfect for draining ground meat - after pouring the meat into it, you can stand it right in the pan to continue draining, and its mesh is fine enough for quinoa. The smallest is great for a ton of things, but my favorite is putting powdered sugar on french toast, cakes and cookies. The best part about the set - they wash up beautifully by hand or in the dishwasher! I was actually looking for something the size of the 6" one (third smallest) because I am often cooking for one. I am so glad I decided on this whole set. It covers everything I could possibly need in any instance.FYI I am not someone who got a discount to try this set. I paid the full price and it is so very worth it!

Our old one had a stainless steel mesh basket, but the surrounding rim and handle were definitely not stainless, plus the mesh was separating from the rim creating a very painful puncture hazard.These appear to be of high quality, and the four different sizes makes it easy to have the right tool for the straining job at hand. I've only had these a short while, but plan to come back here and update this review in regards to longevity after putting some miles on them.

I have been using these for a couple of weeks now and have no issues. They've all served a purpose and work very well.Side Note: When I initially received my package it was short the smallest strainer. In order for me to go through Amazon it seemed to much of a hassle (no offense Amazon), so I sucked it up and kept them. Elite Kitchenware sent an email, so I told them about it only requesting the small strainer to be sent to me. They quickly responded and sent me a whole new set which I received within two days! Just amazing.

I am very pleased and relieved that all items were in the box. It looked like it was taken directly from the shelf and mailed. One end of the box was completely open when I received it. A little tape over the flaps on the box would go a long way in protecting the contents. I have not used the strainers yet, but I like the variation of strainer mesh for each size.

Really nice set - strong, easy to clean and looks good. Each item is great for its purpose(s) - I particularly liked the large strainer with the metal frame making it sturdier when washing rice, lentils, and grain. I can also set it down in the sink to drain well. The colander is also great for both draining small noodles and pasta and washing fruits and vegetables. Very versatile set - I very highly recommended it!The seller also contacted me post-purchase to see if I received set and included some common tips for cleaning and storing. Great service!

My 2 older strainers gave up the ghost recently, so I chose this set. Stainless steel, dishwasher safe, sturdy and very useful. I like these even better than my old ones. Actually, this set has a colander type strainer plus 3 fine mesh strainers.July 2018 - have had this set almost a year and I use the colander and the fine mesh strainers a lot. Good items
