Q: The description says vellum. Is this a transparent paper?

Thank you so much for the question! No, this is not a transparent paper. Vellum refers to the finish of the paper which is semi-smooth and the Bristol refers to the strength of the paper. Q: A ream is 500 count so why is yours less??

You are correct a ream of standard paper is usually defined as 500 sheets. HOWEVER this is CARDSTOCK and cardstock reams are usually classified or defined as 250 sheets. You can google it if you need to. So this pack of 325 sheets of CARDSTOCK though light weight is actually a ream and a half by definition and Neenah has this in both the Vellum finish here but also a slightly more standard 65 # same brightness white of 94% and also in 110 # also same white brightness. This and the lighter 64 standard cardstock comes in packs like this of 325 but the heavy comes in packs of 300. Hope this helps. And by the way for those who do not KNOW it Vellum is not a transparent paper or transluscent paper it's basically in the trade means a smooth finish or surface and no not shiney either. However in the craft world someone decided years ago to refer to some fancy transluscent style overlays and papers as VELLUM. OOPS this has caused a great deal of confusion for those who don't understand and think when they order a basic vellum paper or cardstock they are expecting it to be transluscent and it won't be.

Q: Can you use this with cricut?

Absolutely. It will work with any of the Cricut machines, including all legacy machines. For anything other than the Cricut Maker machines, the first time I use a new cover stock/cardstock in my Cricut, I let it cut the item once and hit the unload button (but I don't remove the mat). I carefully curve the mat to see if my image cut all the way through. If not, then I just hit the reload button and repeat the same exact cut. If I haven't shifted the mat position at all, it will cut the image again, right over the same lines. Next time I cut an image with that cardstock, I increase my blade depth a little. FYI: This is really light weight. I'm not sure what you are looking to make with it, but his will feel more like a thick copy paper, than a heavy cover stock/cardstock. The #67/67lb Vellum Bristol is only 147gsm. A regular #67/67lb cover stock is about 199gsm.
