I would strongly recommend these notebooks for any purposes that may require graph paper, as their paper quality is unmatched in quality and durability.However, the spiral binding comes loose often and needs to be pushed back into place. This however is only a small annoyance that takes a few seconds to fix, and I still buy these simply due to their incredible paper quality.

I got these for all the nieces and nephews as part of an engineering gift. Then my brother used them for his lab work and requested that I might order more.

I did my pen test, as I usually do on a page of a new notebook, using at least seven brands of felt pens from Tombows and Sakuras Fudenosuke and Microns and others (not Sharpies) and they did not bleed through. I did number the pages of immediately out of the package to use it as a planner and ran out of paper at 156 meaning the one I numbered was 2 pages short. Not a deal breaker, but at the same time, not correct. I haven't taken time to number another one yet. The smoothness of the paper and the dots are great for practicing brush pen or pointed pen calligraphy without the feathering out of the felt pen or the pointed pen snagging on the paper. Thus, the 5-start in spite of the shortness of pages.

These are good notebooks. The covers are a durable plastic, and the pages are thick, heavy paper. The graph lines are dotted, thin, and a grey color. It allows you to keep notes organized but have you writing stand out instead of the heavy blue/black lines of typical graph paper. They work great for taking notes and are extremely helpful when drawing diagrams or keeping math organized. They are a bit pricey, but I've found them to be worth it for the most part. Sometimes the spirals get hung up and you'll have to fix it but only after heavy use. I've been using these notebooks all through college now and they're still in good condition by the end of the semester. I can go back though my notes from previous courses which is something I'm not always able to do with the cheap notebooks.

I am still old fashioned and like paper. These notebooks have some of the best paper I have tried. It is thick and smooth. The pen glides across it. The notebooks hold up to carrying in my bag and constant use. Great product.

Perfect for my study notes.

I write with Pilot Bold 1.0 pens. In MANY notebooks, even expensive ones, I can see the ink on the other side of the page, or I can faintly see there is writing on the next page.Not with these notebooks.Excellent quality. I can write on both sides of every page without any see-thru.I also like the size of these. They’re the same size as my iPad,, and it’s easy to carry both around with me.

At £9.99 for 640 A5 pages (320 sheets) , these 4 notebooks are excellent value for money. The paper is very fountain pen friendly with no bleed-through and a smooth, but not glossy surface. Paper colour is a pleasing very pale cream rather than brilliant white. I ordered 4 notebooks with lined pages and - in spite of the 'random' warning - that is what I received in 4 different colours. The 36 'sticky note' coloured tabs are a useful bonus. Unless you want perforated pages there is no better notebook IMO (& I have tried Rhodia, Oxford Optik & Cambridge)
