I purchased this case for a friend of mine in another state who has a lot of little mouths to eat because who doesn't love Rice a Roni - it's easy, tasty and shelf stable. Friend loves the herb and butter and so do I. Memories of my childhood, and it's still really tasty! Pack of 8 boxes. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. The perfect quick-and-easy go-to side for dinner.

Not a fan of the olive oil flavored ones. Very strong olive oil flavor and to much oil in it for my liking but the rest are awesome. Easy to use packaging and taste great when heated either way according to the instructions. Took a star off for the olive oil flavor or it would be all 5’s

These pouches are great. I use them for work lunches, mixed with a tuna pouch. Great portion size. Microwaves in 90 seconds. Doesn't get super dry. The taste is great.

Three different flavors. I thought one tasted great, one was okay, and didn't care for the last one. If you are preparing a meal for two (or at most, three) people and want to add another side item, but don't want to expend any effort in doing so, partially open one of these (to vent the steam), stand it up in the microwave, and it'll be hot and ready to plate up soon afterward. Be sure to "massage" it before heating, in order to separate the solid mass a bit. Then give it a quick "shake" down from the top, so that none comes out when you tear the top the inch or two that it recommends before heating. The product should stand up in the microwave, although one of mine did not seem particularly stable (I set it into a high-sided bowl) because the package was slightly mangled, as if it was squeezed out of shape by the other packages in the box and held that way during storage/shipment. That wasn't a big deal, honestly, and it _might_ have remained standing long enough to heat the thing, but I chose not to take any chances. What could be an issue is that, because the product is intended to be heated while standing up in the microwave (with the top partially torn open), it's entirely possible that it won't fit into a tiny "dorm room" sized microwave oven. Other than that - and the possibility that one might not like all three flavors - I'd recommend the product to someone who wants a shelf-stable, heat-and-eat side. Especially if it goes on sale.

It was easy to make but tasted terrible. They were little over single servings. Easy to microwave and versatile if you willing to trade flavor for convenience.
