iMac For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech))

Great resource

Absolutely a good book for those new to iMac. Recently switched from Windows and loving it. The learning curve is manageable with this book. Purchased it before the computer came and was better prepared for set up and use. I recommend this book.

It was a very nice book, good quality etc..but very soon I noticed I was more of a dummy than this book was intended for. Sadly, had to return it.

The Dummies books are a well done introduction to their respective topics. I have never been dissapointed in any that I have bought.

I am looking for a book that helps me with using the programs of Pages, Keynote and Numbers. I want to stop using Microsoft products, and Apple is free. But boy, the shift is hard, especially when nothing wants to get into it.

Easy to use! I refer to it regularly!

Despite the title of this book , it definitely isn't an easy read for seniors . Extremely complicated to understand

The book is a mine of information. I am sure it will be useful. Unfortunately the iMac which I ordered on the 5th. May from Amazon has still not been despatched to me.

Another great book from the Dummies series of books. Easy to understand, not full of lingo or hard to understand instructions. Recommended.

Easy to understand

This is written in language ordinary people can understand. It starts with the very basics guiding someone new to a Mac computer through setup and gives lots of hints and tips as it continues on to more advanced matters.One interesting thing I noticed was that as my knowledge increased and I felt more at ease with new ways of doing things, I found myself congratulating myself on buying such a fantastic computer.It is based on the Monterey Os which has now been superseded by Ventura which is installed on my iMac but I found that less of a problem than I expected. I have a book about the Ventura Os which I am working through to fine tune things.This book is clear and easy to read. It is also written in a down to earth and sometimes lighthearted way. I do have to say thought that I suspect the author might have got some of his jokes (?) from one of the many books of Dad Jokes available on Amazon, although to be fair I usually laugh at those as well
