Excellent Quality Construction built to last! Pad placement, fit/function are Poor!
This is a very informative review from a person who has worn hernia support briefs for over a decade. Read before you buy!I purchased this hernia support brief for an inguinal hernia tried it on, and returned it. The construction and quality material is unsurpassed, and the garment fits comfortably (The price is also commensurate to the quality.). I bought at least one size too small (I did so according to their chart) and estimate that with one or two sizes bigger it would fit very comfortable, however pad positioning would probably be worse with the larger garment, so I didn't try a larger size.). The garment is not tailored to fit any where near close like it should be, to do the job it is intended to do. It doesn't matter how well built the garment is, if it doesn't provide the support where needed it is useless, Most of the hernia belts are that way too! The problem is the garment is likely tailored to fit a mannequin instead of a real person with a longtime hernia that can give feedback as to how the garment should fit and be tailored for correct support!!!The pockets/pads need to extend downward slightly below the pubic bone to provide support for inguinal hernias like mine (To the tune of about 2" further down from where they are currently at on a Med (which was the size I tried on), which would place the pockets about to the hem at the leg band on each side of where the male organs would be situated. The pockets are a great idea because they allow the individual user to adjust the pads to provide compression where they need it, but these fall way short of extending low enough to place the pads for correct support. It would require aftermarket alterations to make it fit correctly. Another benefit of hernia support briefs is that they "should" double as a male athletic supporter. If you are very physically active that's a necessary feature, but it is not a hindrance either if you are not as active, however the tailoring of this garment is such that there is a huge spacious pouch waaay tooo biiig to provide a male human any athletic support. let alone firm support. Also, the other brand of briefs I have previously worn (which are no longer available) have a 2" wide elastic strap that goes all the way around the body and attaches at the rear by Velcro. This actually has other advantages beside better hernia compression support. The pads need to be placed low near the pubic bone. Therefore the elastic compression band needs to pull almost straight around the rear & maybe slightly upward. Securing the 2" elastic compression strap this way doesn't give you a very flattering rear, but it keeps the necessary compression on your inguinal hernia that is located at the groin not the belly button! All support briefs are built with a high waistband and the elastic compression band tends to creep up at the rear to the waistline pulling the pads at the front up out of place from providing compression at just the right place. By folding the brief's high waistband down over this 2" wide compression band at the rear and tucking it up underneath the compression band, this holds the compression band where you initially position it for correct pad placement and support THAT ACTUALLY FITS YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL AND STAYS PUT WHERE YOU INITIALLY POSITION IT!This FLA garment only has about a 1" wide elastic band extending about 4-5" to each side from front center and fastens with Velcro. After the garment wears in and stretches and the elastic bands stretch as well, they likely will not provide enough compression for reasonable hernia support, and the already high compression pads will be even higher. This garment needs to go back to the drawing board for a re-design. The brief itself is pretty good, the compression pockets need a total re-design, the athletic support pouch needs to be re-designed to fit about like a jockstrap pouch for the given size (S, M, L etc.). It needs a 2" compression elastic band all the way around. If the manufacturer took the care to re-design this Quality constructed garment to actually fit and function for its intended purpose it would be the very best hernia support brief garment on the market for both inguinal and femoral hernias!!! I would be their best customer!!

A supportive brief to help keep down grief!
My husband said it helped greatly for his inguinal hernia. The support and the way you could remove the pressure pads was ideal for his situation. His only suggestion was if there was a way the material could still be supportive and not be so hot for summer use.

Too Tight
The size I ordered was between my hip size after wearing it all day my stomach and hip heart and itched from the pressure. A person shoul order a size at least 3 sizes larger.

It was smaller than described. I wrote to them about it and I have yet to get a response from them. Not a happy camper. I had to buy another of the same item thru someone else.

Looks & feels like underwear-I like the tight fit all around and it seems to keep all the parts in place where they are supposed to go-I would buy this again-
